One of Vegas’ Most Unique Hotel Rooms, Virgin Surprises, Bottle Service & Caesars Loses Big! – Miles to Memories Vegas

by YouTube Team

Welcome to MtM #Vegas – Our weekly look at the cool #news and happenings in Sin City.

This week we debrief Mark’s recent Vegas trip which included a stay at one of the more unique rooms in Vegas. He also details his check-in experience, what it is like at Circa’s rooftop Legacy Club and his “bottle service” experience at Drai’s. Plus how is the food and service at Giada’s in Cromwell?

We also dive into the #Caesars Entertainment earnings call and Virgin’s announcement about resort fees. What did Caesars say about their losses and how are bookings looking into the future? They lost $1.8 billion which means unprofitable venues aren’t likely to return soon. Sorry buffet lovers.

A lot of potential visitors are probably on a 'wait and see' mode awaiting covid case results towards the end of the summer. If on a downward trend…LOOKOUT!

Another excellent video from you guys with great info. The reliance on kiosks at the front desk of Caesars properties is a huge mistake. Naturally, they're trying to cut costs (while raising resort fees for the customers which is an extra kick to the nuts) but as you stated, you don't want to skimp on customer service at check-in because that's the first impression the customer has of your property. Welcome them and treat them right, allow them to ask questions, or request a particular room or perk. The bean counters in these corporations continue to do what they do, and that's a shame.

Stayed at the linq a couple times and I agree the check in experience isn't great but other than that I really enjoyed staying there. Might be one of my fav cheap hotels on the strip, can't beat the location.

The Linq is a low quality hotel. I would rather stay at a motel 6

Really enjoy your vlogs. Lots of good information. Agree with your comments about Caesars, and it's not just the properties in Vegas. Switching to MLife and staying at Vdara with a couple of comp nights next month (fingers crossed). 🤩

I won't use a kiosk…. that is just poor business. If I knew a resort forced you to use one I would not stay at that property. Last 3 times Ive been to Vegas I have stayed at Trump, they treat their guests like royalty. Never have had an issue with getting checked in, free upgrade with rooms just by asking… Their staff is on point, always happy and ready to help.

Love the updates and reviews from u guys. Cant wait to see Circa in person. And i like Virgin with the all inclusive rates, just kick me once, dont keep kicking me. And very happy that they're keeping the parking free, even though i figured they would because of where they're located it makes sense.

Me and my wife stayed at most of the major casinos on the Strip but we always overlooked the Linq. That cabana room is a game changer and looking forward to staying there on our next trip! Thanks again for all the information and appreciate all the hard work you do on the weekly videos.. Always looking forward to your new content!

To me, having a resort fee is just dishonest. Give me your honest price and I will respect that much more than the bait and switch. Virgin, you’ve got my business! For the same reason I’ve been staying at the Four Queens.

Couldn't agree more about the check-in situation at Caesars properties. Even though I am also Diamond, I would prefer to pay resort fees at an MGM property (or Wynn) for a more positive overall experience. The more I watch your content, the more I want to move my play from Caesars! Enjoying your channel, keep it up.

We went to legacy club Friday night we actually didn’t have reservations and walked up- the girl told me to give her 5 minutes. She was able to get us in. There was no one outisde for like 20 minutes. We agree with you that was the best part of circa. Circa as a whole was great. Couple hiccups but mostly good! Try the south side drink when you go! I have a some pictures up on my IG: _ms.Charlotte

Resort fees are ridiculous. Charge me a fair price plus tax and that is enough. It not like I can’t afford it, it just feels like I am being ripped off

Money saved will get a rental car. Want to stay on the strip, then put up with being stampeded in a cattle drive. Stay off the strip to be treated like a wonderful human being. Off strip hotels have restaurants and pools also.

The reason for the nickel and diming is that the Wall street boys overpaid for the casino properties. Both MGM and Caesars are over $10 billion in debt, so instead of making a profit they are paying off debt. So, who gets screwed in the end? The customers.
In about 2007 a group bought Caesars just as "Crazy Boy" Cuomo's great recession hit. Now another group bought Caesars just as covid hit.
A tourist group in The District of Corruption (DC) is suing MGM over the resort fees. Who knows what will happen in this case.

Having read "trip reports" for over twenty years, one thing is clear: your first two encounters at a hotel -valet and front desk – will set the tone for your stay. Even if the check-in line is long, if you are treated as if you are welcome and if a reasonable effort is made to accommodate your requests in a pleasant manner, and if your room is what you asked for and clean, that goodwill will last. If, on the other hand, the check-in person is surly and unresponsive, the guests will spend their entire stay looking for flaws and complaints.
Large hotels spend millions on research and focus groups, but fail to appreciate this basic principle.

Wasn't a good chunk the drag on their revenues from their overseas Casinos? (eg., Macau?) At least with respect to 2019/20?

Yup always use the front desk, if you don't have staff in check in it is a very big turn off!

i think if you want to use the pool and more than pay for it if you dont like the pool than you skip the pool and it fees. alot of people are there for the slots and food only. you should have the choice at check in. im not a pool and pool party person. no thank you
