What do you think about the recent scare on the Strip?
Joey chestnut becomes Jose chestnut.
Luv your no-nonsense and nonpartisan approach in the news you bring us.Along with the subtle humor I like. Oh BTW (the the 000001 cat storm is called a whirlwind)
What looks like a small tornado you saw at Luxor are called DUST DEVILS in Phoenix Arizona . We get them all the time .
Regarding the panic after the broken window at MGM. Social Media spread the panic. People on TikTok insist they heard gunshots in NYNY. Same at Ballys. People in Cosmo running every direction, tables overturned, glass broken in Momofuku. Staff took them into back rooms, staircases. People stampeded through Flamingo. Mindless herd repeating, embellishing, without considering consequences.
Here is an idea for Lost Vegas . Set up Fremont Street so only people with hotel room keys can get in . If you keep the locals out there will be far less problems !!!!!!!!
“Act like you belong” has gotten me into so many places that I did not belong in… hahah good stuff
I have a lot of ideas for Vegas , but , the excitement of the amazing ( terrible fireworks show ) and the unbelievable top talent concert ,( F*cking Molly Hatchet ) has just wore me out . I would have brought in Sheryl Crow or someone of that caliber for the ( ENTERTAINMENT CAPITOL OF AMERICA ) 4TH of July concert . I wonder if Molly Hatchet got charged for PARKING .
I got it , it just hit me . One of the things they found in a barrel , in the lake was , MOLLY HATCHET . So why not have Cirque de Hatchet at every Vegas hotel !!!!!!!!!!!!
"String of valet THEFTS " not robberies. Robberies would be theft with forceful taking or threat of.
Do people just walk around looking for dropped valet tickets? No. People walk around looking for dropped valet tickets or dropped bell desk tickets or dropped room keycards in that little sleeve with room number. (When it was still a thing, add coat check – stealing fur coats was a racket)
I agee with the clubbing. I used to visit vegas every year during my early 20s. And I would always go in. As long as you make it that you belong out there😂
Since Caesars new owners cut casino drinks alcohol from 1.25oz pours to 0.75oz, it's been downhill. New ownership cuts everywhere.
MTM ! Injoy podcast ! Topic Video poker @ the casino bar they have a Green/ red light on the back of poker machine to indicate if you get a free drink. Plaza, rio casinos I know of . I play $1 video poker when I was @ bar. And hand to show bar tender I’m playing dollars just toget the beer plus giving the yo yo a $2-3 tip? What the ???? Can you comment on this topic
Breaking news- the Luxor just received the following letter:
"How'd you like that poolside whirlwind, guys? Remind you of something? Listen up, bub: I've got eleven more in the works. Loose up those slots or you won't know the meaning of the world trouble."
– Moses "Let My Jackpots Flow" Ben Sinai.
Good show as usual guys. – You are right about Vegas not having the same appeal of days gone by. I was there in May for a week. I paid for three rooms at the MGM (Not So) Grand – (2 queens, strip views on all three)
What a huge disappointment. Very poor customer service. Water was off for one night in all three rooms. Rooms were all dirty, worn, and shabby. I spent over $3k on the rooms, (plus another $3k on shows and meals there for the family) and I could not even get a comp for a late checkout in just one of the rooms. (Put over $4k in action at the tables and machines while there too)
It was an overall total disappointment. I tried to contact the MGM management via messages on the phone as well as a couple of emails, and never received a reply. – I will vote with my wallet and will not be staying at that property again. (I still like the Bellagio though and will continue to stay there. I only selected the MGM due to their pool area for the grandkids that were there, but it turned out to be too cold to use it.)
I used to go 5-6 times per year, but this last trip was just depressing. There were so many homeless folks on the streets everywhere, plus inside the casinos, folks were trying to panhandle quite a bit. (Security was not making any effort to run them off either. – I saw this in every casino we visited, some being way worse than others.)
Many of the staff members in all the casinos seemed to not enjoy their jobs and made no real attempts to ensure the guests were having a good time. (Just faces going through the motions)
I have to say, after this last trip, I will be content to cut my visits back to once every 2-3 years. (I actually had more fun at a couple of the Oklahoma casinos I visit every month or two. – At least their staff appreciates the players, and the amenities at one of them is almost as good as most Vegas casinos. Rooms are always comped, and my freeplay is about $300 per week. The only thing that sucks is they charge that darn .50cent ante on every hand of every table game.)
Cheers!
Chris angels mural on PH is gone. Adhesive still on the building
I had my Brand new truck stolen at the Old Lady Luck. I checked it at the Valley and the valet guy gave me the valet stub. 4 days later when I go to leave they can’t find my car. What a headache. Head of security was trying to fight me saying I was scamming the casino. They refused to let me have access to security videos. A 1 year nightmare
True, act as if you belong and security will leave you alone sometimes. Used that technique to get floor seats for Gn'R 2016 in San Diego. Because I did not have a wrist band, I did not use the bathroom during show, for fear they would not let me back to the floor section. Got caught without a wristband at Desert Trip (Oldchella) on the floor in 2016 and was detained for an hour. Security kept trying to get me to admit I snuck into show. Never told them anything and eventually they let me go. In California if the cost of a ticket is over $950 and you are caught sneaking in, some venues will try to prosecute for felony theft, be careful. Nice job as always guys!!
Flamingo doesn't won't you to hangout in sports book area like drinking your coffee
You two said it correctly. I used to go to Vegas with friends for 10 years in a row. That stopped at the end of Nov. 2019. Now I have been there once and every place is just gouging you on prices and food and drinks. The fun and lustre of Vegas is wearing thin.
