No one should be forced to wear a mask, especially young children. It’s not right to impose masks on others in order to make you feel safer. If you’re that worried, you can choose to stay home.
Have you guys considered the possibility coronavirus is a biological weapon? Those are real, the spread and are designed to wipe out large populations. They also come in forms of bacteria and fungus. Witch can also spread to livestock and plants to target food supplies. Nukes, chemical weapons and biological weapons are weapons of mass destruction. The aftermath of 9/11 sparked all kinds of privacy invasion. And this has brought up some interesting stuff, new rules lots of people went out of business, mass reduction of the population and it’s still ongoing, this is getting out of hand. What do you guys think?
that's so nonsense this fight. Kids in Asia, especially Korea and Japan, wear masks every freaking day but their parents aren't supposed to be abusive. I know wearing a mask is not one of your long-term habits, but children can learn. The goal is to keep her protected, and protect other in case the kid is covid positive. And you know what is simpler? If you don't like their rules, don't use their services! That's just it.
There’s photos of the kid at Disney world with her mask on properly…. no issues. The family is coming from Florida, a huge hot spot for the virus. The other knew damn well about the mask as u receive a prompt upon check in regarding the policy. They’re vacationing in the middle of a pandemic… they shouldn’t even be doing that. But if ur vacationing to a hotspot in a pandemic u should be prepared to mask all ur children. If u can’t do that then stay home and vacation at a more acceptable time. The mother is doing news appearances… get real. This is ridiculous. Apparently the child only wears a mask when it’s convenient (Disney world). Small children are proven to be asymptomatic carriers and there were many other ppl onboard. Just because some ppl stood up for mom does not mean ALL passengers felt that way and their health matters too.
I believe it is debatable if the coronavirus is reason enough to force a 2 year old to wear a mask in an airplane. But most countries mandate the use of mask, with the exception of children who are not able to maintain a face covering, which seems to be the case. Making this rules we also most consider that USA has a very serious epidemic situation and probably the legislators had information from experts that surely are more and better informed about the situation than me. But from the moment the rule is implemented and is not enforced, I believe the airline will have and shall have to take responsibility for an outbreak related to that flight. People who are responsible for enforcing the rules probably may also be criminally charged if a correlation is found with the neglegency of not enforcing the rules and someone dying or becoming disable for life.

Masks do not work and they are not necessary for a virus with a 99% recovery rate. People need to stand up and fight for their rights instead of being controlled like sheep! Shame on the airlines for scaring the children!

Honestly, this is a very sad confusing situation.
It is for the kid's own, the staffs and other's safety.
At the same time, little babies don't understand the importance.
One part of me feels bad for the passengers. And other is trying to understand the importance of Covid precautions.
