AMEX is kicking ass, I Have to use my Platnium & Gold cards. I got retention offers for both also. I'm going to have to stay disciplined on applications until I secure the Barclays Wyndham business card, then maybe the Altitude reserve.
This over hyped frequent flyer card – 550 AF with no multipliers.Only Great for first year. 15K on groceries in 6 months (perceived value) who spend 30K a year on food? Shaq & sumo wrestlers. The net benefit is around 12K MR points (after you factor in the 4X or 6X you would have got on your other cards).2 year 1100.00 out of pocket expense. YMMV

I tried to find the 100,000 offer. I only did it 5 times incognito. I guess I didn’t do it long enough. But I do eat out a lot so I’ll definitely reach my Resy offer. Oh well still 75,000 points. Guess I’ll have to get my hubby to get the 100,000 points then. 💳
Thank you. Some people don't mention that you can easily get the 100k offer. If you can't trigger the 100k incognito offer for some reason, you can always go with Resy
never got the 100K to show, got the 75k 10X offer, was suprised because last month amex gave me the pop up on the schwab investor card. Am happy.
If I didn't already have the Gold with the 7x referral offer going on, I'd consider the Resy offer over 100k, but looking to get a plat now for 100k for player 2 as I'm waiting a little while before getting the Charles Schwab plat for myself. But may just get it for myself who knows.
I went with the 100k offer over the Resy offer. Rather have the points upfront. Also, gold card doe the restaurant spend.

I’m stuck between the platinum and the reserve I got the hundred thousand bonus to offer for the Amex and have to slots left on my 5/24. That point Multiplier for the gas / food on the reserve is makes it more useful for sure .

Happened to my player 2 but she hasn’t been open and canceled Amex cards in the past. It might be no transaction on those sock drawer cards.

Im about mid-game. I've gotten almost all Chase cards, not including business yet. Currently im on Capitol One 100k for 20k spend, and im about 6k spend currently in about 2 months, had some big purchases needed. Im really on the fence about getting the Platinum. Primarily because travel isn't an option for us currently. And im thinking about revisiting Platinum in about 9-12 months when I feel like I could really utilize the value for travel, with lounges etc. I do understand that I could be building up my points now, but im honestly doing so already with CO. Granted if the 100k or 125K option does show up, I probably will apply, and just put the CO on pause for 6 months lol. What you think Waller?
I am pre approved for the 125k offer on the card match tool. I’m so tempted to pull the trigger but I just got a mortgage and I’m not sure if I want another hard pull on my credit.

Looks like a great time to get the vanilla Platinum, get the bonus, wait for 6 months, get the Charles Schwab Platinum, wait for 7 months, then cancel the vanilla Platinum.
Don’t forget the $20/month streaming credit and $20/month iPhone or equivalent for 2020.

Got the 100000 point offer in the mail. Had perfect timing for me. I wasn’t really thinking of applying for the platinum. I already have the csr. And didn’t want another 550 annual free. But this offer came while looking at engagement rings. So yeah that will take care of the minimum spend. And the points will go a long ways in making a honeymoon special. Along with my chase points.

Got the 125k offer with 10x points on gas and supermarkets in the mail this weekend. I have until the 31st to accept.
For the last 4 years, the Morgan Stanley AMEX has served me well with perks offsetting the cost. AMEX waives the supplemental annual card fee of $175 so my hubby uses for lounge access when traveling solo. I probably would not have this card if we didn't live in a city with Centurion lounge. However with all the extra offers, in the month of January alone, i saved $505. I'm in awe of you earning 1000's in spending perks and cheer you on from the sidelines. I wish that AMEX would allow folks to sign up for the same card twice with signup perk but they don't. Are they the only bank with that strict policy?
