We talk about the Roinhood crash that happened yesterday on the Doe Jones’ biggest one day point gain in history. The Robinhood app was down for 17 hours, which meant that people couldn’t get in or out of the market. If you have a Robinhood portfolio this will interest you, as reliability if key to successful stock trading.

It still not working, trying to tap out , as soon as I stop it resets the count.
Thats wasn’t something random :/
I have a $1,000 RH account that I used to get in to the habit of looking at stocks daily…luckily RH is only a learning tool/account, and I am using Vanguard for my real trades.
All financial institutions should have a contingency plan in case something like this happens
Today before the market open it was down for deposits as well , so I had to go to my webull to buy positions
Charles Schwab has such a huge delay when it comes to funding. Even if it if in your checking account. Fidelity is the way. Even had a custodial account for my younglings who want to start to invest.
The Credit Shifu Way back when Schwab went zero commissions, switched to them and gladly learned about their debit card. Now also use TD for thinkorswim, and Webull for day trading
This is why I stopped using Robbin hood along time ago. Poorly managed
While the terms and conditions says they are not responsible for losses during outages I wonder if that includes negligence. If someone can prove that it was a coding error for leap year could that in effect allow for lawsuit and them to be liable?
I haven't decided if i will leave RH yet or not I have been very frustrated the past two days but I may just make sure I have another broker that is funded with enough to cover any options I am trading at RH. My two biggest frustrations are the lack of information they are telling us (covering their own rear ends) and the time it took to get the app back up and running. Those are unacceptable in my opinion.
The number one rule of investing. Pick a reputable broker. Schwab, e-trade, Merrill Hodge, TD Ameritrade… you go with some half-assed app on your phone like Robinhood… then ya get what ya pay for! I just spent 45 seconds looking up Robinhood and found numerous SEC complaints and FINRA fines. Do your due diligence Millennials. I can hear the Millennials now, “I’m not going to trade with some big Evil Wall Street brokerage firm I’m gonna give my money to some app on my phone.”
Once it makes sense I’ll be leaving Robinhood.
I had 5 trades planned for yesterday. I was fortunate, all but 1 was executed. The 1 that didn't execute was due to it being outside the limit that I placed.
The huge gain is all Trumps fault!
Bye bye!
Yea it was ridiculous that happened yesterday I’m going to transfer my account to fidelity
You can't walk back the absolute devastation to user confidence that this has caused. I'm out of RH for good.
Lucky I set orders last night so when the app went down in the morning and I couldn’t access it all the orders I had went though.
"…you can't see Robinhood stock going down…" 😂😂😂
fuck Robinhood. I'm closing my account. happened again today, can't cancel orders, no position filled. RIP my leveraged portfolio.
What do you think of Sofi?
