Las Vegas has had quite a lot of ups and downs through the past 18 months. In March of 2020 Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak ordered every casino in the state to close, but little did we know when they were allowed to re-open in June many would be missing. I have previously documented the closed casinos of Vegas in videos, but I never expected so many properties to remain closed this long.

On this closed casinos of Las Vegas tour we’ll check-in on the numerous still shuttered properties around the Las Vegas area. This tour will visit seven closed Vegas casinos including a couple we know are reopening, a few that are likely to come back and some that may never see the light of day again. You don’t want to miss it!

0:00 Welcome to Las Vegas
0:45 Texas Station Hotel & Casino closed

9:57 Fiesta Henderson is still closed

In this video:

Palms Resort & Casino – Previously owned by Station Casinos. This property will reopen in late 2021/early 2022 following a sale to the San Manuel tribe

Fiesta Rancho – This locals casino in North Las Vegas was built by the same family as Palms and remains closed with no opening plans announced

Texas Station – Sitting across from Fiesta Rancho this property is also owned by Red Rock Resorts and has no planned opening

Main Street Station – Following an 18 month closure Main Street Station re-opens on September 8, 2021 to join its new neighbor Circa in Downtown Las Vegas

Buffalo Bill’s – The hotel, casino and rides at Buffalo Bill’s in Primm are closed with no opening date set. Primm Valley and Whiskey Pete’s remain open

Eastside Cannery – Boyd Gaming owns Eastside Cannery and its open neighbor Sam’s Town. One has to think a sale will happen to allow this relatively new casino to reopen

Fiesta Henderson – Wasting away in Henderson, there are no announced plans to open Fiesta. One of the casino’s restaurants has relocated permanently to its sister property Sunset Station

I travel to Las Vegas at least once a month on business. The Palms was purchased by the San Manuel Band of Indians from San Bernardino CA.

Dude …I live here in Vegas and didn’t even realize any of these were still closed.

Santa Fe Station is just N/W up Rancho about 5-7min drive depending on catching lights
But it’s open and always packed.
Now I see why, though.
I’ve actually been surprised when I’ve gone in early on Weekdays and it’s still has lots of clientele
But now I see why , basically thee entire N/W Vegas is going to Santa Fe whenever they’re hitting their closest local Casino 🎰

Nothing you can do you can't plan on any planes without that stupid shot and I'm not getting it and they're firing all their employees so if you can't fly can't drive

My husband & I come often to Las Vegas, not since the pandemic. We fly or drive and if we're driving from home it's about 7 hrs. drive (traffic too) through mostly desert. Buffalo Bills is where we stop for cold ice tea and a meal. Also, we go on the rides. I was glad to see the temporarily close sign when no one was there.

The SOUL is what Powers the Heart !
Meet God on His terms. "Ask Jesus/Yeshua to Forgive your sins, and come into  your life from your  heart while U still have breath!" Reject Hell! John 14:6-7
Revelation 1:18, reads, "I am He that liveth, and was dead; and behold, I AM ALIVE! for evermore Amen; and have the "Keys of hell and of death". Is He your Savior or your Judge?

I could never understand how the off beat places like Terribles in Jean or Buffalo Bills could meet overhead when things were going well. I'd be surprised if they open within the next 2 years if ever.

Welcome to Bidens communist America. Did you really think the government would fund our gambling habits? I somehow bet half of Vegas voted for that brain dead criminal so I don't feel sorry for you.

Im not sure what families own these "closed" casinos but from what Ive seen take place in California's Native casinos-
Sometimes the Natives will become business partners with Las Vegas style gaming during the beginning process of new Native casinos and the people of Las Vegas will operate the Native casino for the first 5-7 years depending on agreements and loans.
We're talking several hundred million $ per/year depending on location. From what I understand the average CA casino is $30 million a month.
Some of these "closed" casinos in LV might be doing bigger business out of state and filed for bankruptcy on failing previous business.

Times have changed in Vegas…I lived in Las Vegas in early 90's…bought my first home in Summerlin, as it was an up and coming area. I left when New York – New York, was being built. A lot has changed in Las Vegas since then, but its Vegas – they'll recover! 👊

Boyd Gaming abandoned the Eastside Cannery even before the pandemic. All adverisement within the Cannery pointed customers to Samstown. The pit was a joke that was only open a few hours a day with very few tables, Other then the cafe, restaurants were closed The cafe also housed a makeshift Chinese rastaurant. The place was a ghost town way before it was closed.

The Palm's Casino was formerly opened by the Maloof family and later sold to Station Casinos, who invested hundreds of millions of dollars, thinking the could compete with the Strip. It turned out to be disasterous and Stations subsequently sold the Palms to an Indian Casino Corporation, which is currently in the process of getting licensed and renovating the property.

I was living in Vegas when they blew up the Stardust.
Beautiful classic casino with a great sportsbook.
Played in the poker room on the last night and also caught Steve and Eydie in the Stardust Showroom.
