I owe the child support not to any person but to the welfare system for my daughter having insurance through the state 20 years ago when she was a minor. I make monthly payments in order to maintain my credit score. Im on SS and the check will be going to the state of Ohio. This is Bullshit! Im making the agreed upon back payments so why take that money? Im done….Not paying another dime to the state. They cant touch my SS money so now they can go fuck themselves! It should be pointed out that for college students age 18-24, it doesn't matter if you were actually claimed as a dependent by your parents or not. As long as you are ELIGIBLE to be claimed as a dependent, you will not get a $1,200 check nor will your parents get a $500 check, which seems pretty messed up to me.
