Now that the relief bill has been signed, student loans payments and student loan interest are currently suspended. In this video, we break down who does this affect, how long are your student loan payments suspended, and when does this start.

Your minimum payment was $2000 ?!?! …… bro….. WTF
2000 dollars a month until you refinanced….. go to school they say…..
What about the people that have paid off their loans. I got sick 6 years ago and Nelnet is still dogging my credit. Student loan servicer vendors are evil.
I'll keep paying my 204.00 monthly.
Thanks so much!!!
Great Video, TFS!!!!
Thanks for the video. This is a good reassurance.
Great vid!
I was supposed to start paying daughters Parent Loan Plus and I wasn’t able to start
I’m behind 6 months and this virus happened!!!
Parents loans for collage .I saw the interest rate was going up accumulating and it said no payment till sept.confusing
Depending on how much we get quoted-Our foundation has started dropping in the front near the walkway so we'll get that fixed, which will also give some local contracter some work!

Im a first responder RN in NYC, Im hoping they will pass a bill to discharge student loans for all first responders🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Wow…..I feel bad about my 30,000 What job do you do that you love?
My plan is to continue paying on my students loans because for the 6 months of deferment all the payment is going toward the principal.
I got so confused. I thought this was a British video and I was going to scream. I need my money for student loan rn.
If loans arent forgiven then I dont want to hear about it.
So one thing not covered by this video is that Federal Loans that are past due are being marked as current and the payment suspension goes until September. I had 2 loans that were 30 days past due, and saw this happened.
Talk more about Nazareth student loans
Lol I dumped 80k in unsecured debt back to the banks using the truth in lending laws my mortgage is next
They are loaning us nothing it’s Fiat money then we subsidized all the schools with our tax money people are so fucking stupid
The whole corporation of usa is a Ponzi scam to steal our Birthright
I have Navient and they have not stopped calling me to make a payment, two calls already today. They offer deferment but interest still accrues and you have to sign up and wait. I've read in many places that if it's a federal loan (which it is) my payments should be suspended automatically. Navient does not give that option. They do have a Covid-19 page, but it reroutes you various unhelpful pages all saying similar things. So, despite it fitting into all of the 'correct' scenarios to defer, it is not 'no interest', not automatic, and not suspended.
Edit: To those who may say "I signed on for it", you're right, I did. I signed on for a specific interest amount with a specific company (Nelnet), not for my loan to be sold to a predatory company who is known for mishandling of debts. I'm fine with paying for my loan at the amount I signed on for. I'm fine with not having my loan forgiven or suspended payments during this…however, I only owed $15,000 and still owe $8,000 despite paying more than minimum on time, every month for 15 years. To those with Navient be careful assuming Covid will catch you a break at this time: it's not automatic, it's not suspended, and there will still be interest.
My plan is to put that money into my saving account every month. I need to rebuild my nest egg.
To all you people who think 'we' who have student loans and cannot afford to pay them and are 'childish;…YOU DON'T KNOW MY LIFE OR THE OTHERS. So I suggest you shut your mouth. There are all kinds of situations that people have that [prevent] them from WORKING and PAYING off student loans. Until you all know what someones life is like…your ignorant comments are mute and offensive.
Thank god. My girlfriend and i both get 25 percent garnished from our checks. Plus our medical and 401 k and taxes. Is a months rent right there. Is it this check this Friday or would it be the next one?
If a federal student loan payment was deducted starting from March 13 till when the stimulus bill came into place on April 1st, call fedloan to ask for that March refund. If you do not contact them for a refund, they will not give it to you automatically. And it still counts toward your payment month tally. Refund will take 2-6 weeks to occur.
If you have ffelp or Perkins loans that have been sold from Dept education, this does not apply. At least that’s what navient tells me
Im making my payments since I dont have interest I might even double or triple the amount of the payments!🙌🏽
If this is true why are they still emailing me! lol 😂
I'm still paying on my student loans.
FYI, Fedloan Servcing said they are granting refunds for any payments made between March 13th and March 30th. So, if you need that extra cash back, email them. 🙂
I JUST paid mine off. Student loans suspended? Pfft I paid in full $600, "Here, take this shit and get out of my life for good" These loans plagued me for 13 years, I'm not even going back til College for all passes.
with whom did you refinance your student loans? what rate did you get? did you refi federal or private?
if you have accrued interest it will capitalize at the end of the forebearance period of 6 months. this could be serious if you have tens of thousand of accrued interest since you currently pay no interest on accrued interest
They need to reconnect with AES; American Education Services, they have not suspended theirs, although Navient has. I know I belong to both in terms of payments.
Very helpful information. Thank you!
Why are you talkin about this like they are doing us a 👉👀FAVOR 😏😴 GIVE ME A BREAK 💤💤💤🚶🚶🚶💯
I have a student loan wage garnishment, they were taking about $200 per paycheck. I never got a notice in the mail, but I just checked my pay stub (payday is tomorrow) and noticed it's a bit more than normal. Looked closer and yup – no garnishment taken! I plan to use this money, and my stimulus that I just got, to finally fix the holes in my floors and fix my bathroom shower/tub that's about to fall through the floor! Yay!
I owe $10k in student loans and once they froze student loans my credit score dropped 94 points!! I was happy to see that i dont have to pay till sept 30th but with that $1200 i was given ima pay some of it. Well at lease the interest. I don’t have a real job but i have uber eats and i make really good money in my area so itll allow me to save up for my own car and pay off some of my loan. Sadly i wont be able to move out if things don’t get better at lease i have some income flowing.
I just doubled my student loan payment. Going to push as much of it out as I can!
I have $71,000 student loan still paying at 63 years old😵😵😵
$865,000.00 on student loans?? Are you serious?? You most be the most educated guy in the US!
I paid mine off anyways
Navient has not suspended payments
The U.S. government should expunge all student loans ASAP.
I have not received a tax return in YEARS, I'm glad this year I actually get to keep it.
My loans are frozen so thank god.
do not sell your soul to the devil DO NOT NOT NOT take student loans…only death or disability (if they want to accept it) can get u out and recup your soul…DON't DO IT!! Do not know what the future is going to be ….
