My first credit card is MasterCard capital one platinum credit card
My first credit card was the bank of america cash reward card which I got back in a april a few weeks after turning 18. Now I am looking to get another card but not sure to wait until my promotional apr ends and get the discover student card until then. Also been getting the citi 2% cash back pre approved offers in the mail this past month. The discover card will be beneficial with the no foreign transaction fee but is it better to wait until my bank america card no apr promotional ends? Or not even worry about it since I always pay the card in full.

Mine was the capital one journey student card. The only downside to getting the discover card is it's not accepted everywhere like Visa is. So that's why I think the journey card is a better option for college students plus you don't have to worry about the rotating categories

I just got my first credit card a few months ago during my sophomore year in college and I got accepted with Chase 🙂
Mines was a Secured Capital One card. In 2 months I went from 0 (Yes actually had a 0 credit score… o.O)… to 656. It will keep increasing very fast since I always pay in full before due date. Only had to deposit $49
Can I instantly use the credit card as soon as I’m approved? Like will they give me the info for the card

I am a 18 year old college student. Today I decided I would finally apply for a credit card. I submitted my application and within a minute I was approved for the card with a $1250 credit limit. I was very surprised to see that high of a limit considering I have 0 credit. I am glad to see other young college students are choosing this card too. I can't wait to start building my credit to help me financially in the future!
I wasn’t approved for the student discover card even tho I don’t have bad credit or any credit actually. Literally just turned 18
I heard the best way to start a good credit line is only pay for gas on that credit card. So its cheap thing that you know you can pay off.

Why Discover doesn't let me have the Student Card after I got my Secured Card? I don't understand how do they really work. Because I was declined for the Student Card even if I presented evidence that I was a student because of no credit history and they refuse to explain to me of why is that. Please someone help.

If you pay in full by your due date, then your statement will show a $0 balance. Thats good. I think thats wht the “burus” are looking for as i understand it. They don’t see how much you spent through the month. What happend then when you don’t use your credit card? It will be a $0 balance as well as if you use the credit card and paid it in full. Thanks
