Half of these brokerage firms are bad to invest with. The good ones are:

– Charles Schwab
– E-Trade ( Poor man's Charles Schwab)
– Merrill Lynch (Great for big bank + investing platform combo).
– Webull (A far better version of Robinhood)

Awesome content – I love my Schwab brokerage account, first time I tried investing outside of my 401k, thanks for your guidance! 🙌

Capital One has a solid promo offer for their 360 performance savings account. 10k deposit = $100. 20k = $200. 30k = $300. 40k = $400. 50k = $500. 90 day holding period. I did the 20k deposit back in late Jan and just about to get the $200 bonus.

For the past couple years, I've had a managed investment portfolio through USAA but they've decided to sell their asset management product to Schwab. I wonder if I'll still be eligible for the Schwab brokerage bonus for depositing new money or if I'll need to create a separate brokerage account.

I use Chase, "You Invest" investment platform. They offer free trading on lots of stocks, ETF, mutual funds, etc… I can trade options on it, too. I've gotten sign-up bonuses on my personal checking, business checking, Sapphire Preferred credit card and two Business credit cards. I'm at $2200+ with cashback bonuses moving that higher… the Business cards have zero percent interest for a year, too.

Capital One 360 offers $100 for every 10k up to $500 Bonus. Plus gives 1.5% APY. This is great.

I opened a Webull account last week and got my first free stock SAN. It's a start somewhere. I am waiting on my 2nd free stock. I brought a few shares and it has been doing good so far. Let's see how long I will hold.

Just to add – I think Capital One is offering a $100 cash bonus for every $10,000 you deposit and maintain (up to $500) when you open a 360 Performance Savings account.

I have status with BofA, one only needs to keep the minim balance in there for about 3 months and then can move it out and still keep status for a year.
Additionally, I use Schwab towards investing, I really enjoy them, I just wish they did more fractional shares.
Finally, I am with Vio, for now, as it still has a high yield savings of about 1.7%.

Thanks for sharing these accounts for potential gains Sebastian! One thing I thought you might want to add to your analysis are opportunity costs. Many of these accounts required you to keep the money in the account for up to a year, or being forced to buy some stock.

With these terms to hold the money, you may have the money in a high yield savings account say 1.5% instead. Many of those investment accounts terms are quite horrible for holding in one year, unless you actually were planning on using the service.

Hey Sebby, it looks like you might need a Schwab Referral Code to get the Bonus Awards.

Listed on https://www.schwab.com/public/schwab/nn/referred-prospect.html … How it works: Get a referral code. Become a Schwab clinet. Get up to $500.

Please let me know if you have a referral code to share! Thank you
