The topic of Stimulus Checks, bills, packages, proposals, updates etc… has been all the rage on YouTube with established channels milking the topic for every last penny, and some new channels exploding out of nowhere just because of this one topic and the insane amount of public interest in it. Now I am not criticizing anyone here, my first video on stimulus checks got half a million views and it was very much needed, at a time when ad rates had dropped about 40%.

But anyway, over the last week or so, the government has not released any plans for new stimulus packages. Yet, new stimulus proposals from congress people and new videos about stimulus proposals from YouTubers, have continuously been churned out. Whether it is $2000 per month, or Debit cards funded by trillion dollar coins or $10,000 a month for a family of five until three months after this crisis is over, there are several different very enticing proposals.

Even though the United States has already spent 3 trillion dollars on these several programs over the past two months, people are still hopeful for more. And I don’t blame anyone for that, there is no shame in hoping for some money to come your way. But how hopeful should we be? In this video I am going to analyse the likelihood of another stimulus payment and even if another stimulus bill will be passed in congress and signed into law. And I will try to be as non-partisan as possible.

What I take from the whole situation is there is no way any of those bills such as the ABC act, Emergency Money for People Act or the Monthly Economic Crisis Support Act would pass, just no way. I know i have made videos on them because they are interesting to analyse, but I gotta say it here because I don’t want to get people’s hopes up, but they have 0 chance of passing the Republican controlled senate.

So what actually does have a chance of passing, well first of all it isn’t going to be quick, we are looking at probably the end of May or even into June before another stimulus bill is passed and signed into law. The focus of this bill will probably be programs for getting people back to work, rather than funding people who are out of work. Listen to Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin speaking to Fox news this weekend.

So he talks about a payroll tax cut, Trump has said that he will only sign a bill that includes a payroll tax cut. Now if you have a job or are about to go back to a job, that is good news for the average person, it will put several hundred dollars in your pocket each month. Then we have liability protection for businesses, this is something Republican leader in the senate Mitch Mconnel has been pushing. Now this is good for businesses, but not good for individuals, it means basically you can’t sue if you think a business you visited exposed you to coronavirus. It could be a necessary evil to get businesses to open up, I will let you make up your own mind about that, let us know what you think in the comments below. Then lastly we have aid for states, the Democrats seem to be gearing up to ask for a $750 billion bail out for states budgets. But again this may be a negotiating technique, and their actual target may be lower.

Its not about whether we get more money for free or not from another stimulus. Its a question of how much will that free money costs us down the road with inflation and devaluation of assets.

And don’t forget, the democrats led by Pelosi voted against AND delayed the original stimulus. Think about that for a minute when you see democrats propose you more funny money solutions.

Thanks for having a level head Ben. But, realistically, why are you guys "reporting" on anything that isn't passed and signed? Talk about what is real, concrete, not just merely proposed.

Thank God someone is making a reasonable video about these stimulus bills instead of pan handling for views telling people what they want to hear.

People are annoyed that hes only talking about stuff being proposed as if there's an alternative. Yes he can wait until something is actually being signed but he has to have something to talk about until we get to that point. The moment something gets to the point where its being voted on and signed he will obviously transition to talking about it.

Everyone is affected by covid 19. If you don’t think so you’re not living in reality. People who are working through it as “essential workers” are basically being used as cannon fodder. Others have lost their ability to pay their bills. People can’t get other life saving procedures because it’s been labeled as “non essential procedures”.

As for money, the government does not have a spending limit. The government creates money it does not borrow money. You can’t be in debt to yourself.

unfortunately they will have some arbitrary low income limits…singles in HCOL areas with higher average incomes to compensate for the COL will get hosed!!

Imagine if the next stimulus is >>> We are somehow paying your credit cards debt gradually. Or something along that line.

I wouldn't mind another stimulus check but if there is another one I'm not expecting it till the summer. The CARES act has made it for anyone to apply for unemployment plus an additional $600. That right there is at least $2400. If you still think you need more money I would consider checking your spending habits.

Negotiation = shoot for the stars, land on the moon. Destination was the moon.

Haven't heard of 1 politician donating their inflated salaries to help their constituents (maybe I missed that report). But hey, Nancy's enjoying her overpriced ice cream. Even MLB is talking about taking pay cuts so they can get back to playing ball.
