It's ridiculous people bringing their dogs, here at Tampa Hardrock we got dogs taking a shit on the casino floor, we got fleas in the rooms and in the casino, I won't even stay there anymore. Service dogs yeah 100% but the rest not so much

Wherever there is a successful city or country, everyone wants to live there, until the overpopulation ruins the place. Los Angeles, Ancient Rome, Egypt, the United States, Greece and someday Las Vegas. Drive around, across the Blvd from the strat is a slum. East Charleston every underpass is a homeless camp. The drainage channels are lined with tents, as is Main Street. Breaks my heart.

My dogs are my family. I like dogs more than people. That's ok, I'll stay somewhere else

The dry heat is better for breathing than humidity by far

Nothing worse than people who have to bring their little rat dogs everywhere. Getting under foot, dropping little nuggets and going hyper when another rat dog gets near. Saw it in Venice and Milan and had to resist the urge to punt them. Ditto double wide strollers.

Mark was spot on with his 3 reasons not to move to Vegas. I love Vegas, but need natural occurring plants and more water 😂

Legally you can’t ask a person for their service animal papers.

You picked some excellent topics for this week’s video, the comment section will be interesting!

I sound like a grandma telling kids to get off her lawn, but the lack of respect towards other people and public property is awful. Dogs (and children) are a responsibility: if you can’t care for them properly, don’t have any! Pet owners should be required to clean up after their pets, but there is no enforcement of any current rules. The first thing that needs to be addressed, on the Federal level, is weak laws with huge loopholes regarding service animals and “comfort” animals.

If a hotel wants to offer pet-friendly accommodations, that’s fine. However, those rooms should be labeled as such, and kept to one floor/section. So many hotel-casinos are switching to smoke-free rooms, which saves them money overall, and then they want to mess up those rooms with pet hair and pet crap. 💩

Sadly, many Las Vegas properties are offering lower quality products and customer service while making larger profits. They are also alienating workers, which again affects customer service. They need to be careful: as international travel has resumed, many are already sharing negative thoughts about recent Las Vegas vacations. That negative word of mouth alienates clients that tend to be more well-mannered and spend significantly more when traveling.

When my family first started vacationing regularly in Las Vegas, we would explore the entire Strip, Fremont Street and drive to many off-Strip shops, restaurants and parks. Now we stick to those Strip properties we are comfortable at, avoid Downtown like the plague and almost always return to our hotel by 8pm. I’m honestly tempted to book our 2023 vacation at Red Rock Station or Green Valley Ranch and skip the Strip entirely.

We haven’t used a hotel pool in years. However, I do like to walk through the nicer pool areas, maybe sit outside for a half hour and have a drink and take in some sunshine.

There are so many breakfast places on or near the Strip with great breakfast options, but Dennys has name brand recognition and a consistent menu many people are comfortable with. I’d never go to a McDonalds while on vacation, but those outlets are always packed with customers.

Skipping the line is the same as cutting in line. I would give you the finger. Although I wouldn’t wait in line anywhere.

The bad thing about rent going up now you have more people in apartments stealing condo owners parking spots. Luckily I have a garage but there is always some azzhole stealing my outside parking spot without my permission. They don’t pay my gpa fee.

I love dogs, and i also hate to see them in hotels and restaurants. It makes no sense and most of the time the pet loves miserable. How are the hotels short staffed and not letting the employees they have work? Every month i get an email from a Vegas casino having a job fair and i don't even live there, im just on their email lists as a customer. With my 30 years of being a Vegas regular i have NEVER gotten in a pool because of everything said in this vlog. Our plan has always been to retire to Vegas but now that the time is getting near it looks like it may not happen because it's just as bad as here in LA as far as prices, crime and homelessness. And i also was constantly fighting with my inner self about the downside of living in the desert that Mark brought up, hot as hell we don't even visit 4 months out of the year June-Sept because of the heat, just dry and dirt everywhere. And yes Shawn, you do have red rocks lol.

Given so many of these properties have now farmed out managing the "operations" part of these hotels to some group other than who used to do it, then it probably explains why the guest experiences are so bad. Am I right in thinking the only properties left on the Strip which haven't sold to Vici or manage out are Wynn/Encore, and Treasure Island?

Been to Vegas some 40+ times. First visit to Vegas was 1978; near the end of mob rule. You where treated like a somebody, no kids, no pets and people dressed a lot more classy, it was the real Vegas. Today, forget it, once they turned it into Disneyland with gambling, added crying kids in strollers, pets, additional fees and most people dress and act with disrespect and now latest reports of poor hospitality, staffing issues and higher crime a making Vegas a shadow of its former self. Sad to see.

Been going to Vegas since 1978 near the end of mob involment, some 40+ times.
You where treated with respect, it was different ( an adult playground), people actually dressed mor classy. But, when Vegas became Disneyland with gambling, allowing screaming children in strollers, pets, endless new fees, more crime and rowdiness and an attitude of general slobness , I am pretty much done with it. Add staffing issues, poor hospitality and cleanliness, Vegas has become a shadow of its former glory days. The current water shortage could be the last nail in the coffin, plus there is so much competition now in North America. So sad, that this has happened.

Guy's we all know why the prices in Vegas are through the roof! CO-VID! The hotels, restaurants, bars/lounges lost so much money that they're just bloody GREEDY GOUGING everyone to recoop lost money. The rooms are less than clean, the pools you pointed out – ok I literally had to swipe my screen down; couldn't watch it. Makes me want to throw up. The food prices are beyond human and if you drink, better enjoy those watered down drinks. When the hell is Vegas going to wake? They're not treating tourists the way Vegas should be. There was no place better on earth for me than Vegas. 18x and they were all great vacations; all pre-Co-vid. I'm just not feeling it with all the horror stories and the more I watch my You Tubers that live there and you guys, the more I just don't want to go.

I earn my MGM Platinum status with gambling, and the Mirage is the only MGM property that I NEVER gamble at. Their gaming is terrible. The Cosmo is one of the best gaming casinos in Vegas. Hate hearing the Mirage casino executive is taking over there. I’ll need to keep posted on what casino Blackstone will be buying out of bankruptcy next!

Thanks as always MTM for the information and insights!! I about fell off my chair laughing when you two brought up Denny's on the LV Cheap Eats list!! It's bad enough to even include them but 3 times is just poor decision-making there. On the Las Vegas Cheap Sheet they find great deals but if this insane price inflation keeps up they may need to re-title it, "Best Las Vegas Deals Under $100."

I've seen vloggers confuse 'cheap' eats with 'good value'. Cheap is cheap. And talking about pizza; I recently tried Marsigliano's on W. Sahara. They had white onions (which my sister insists on). Really good pizza, the large was really big! Leftovers were awesome hot or cold! Vegas rent rates are at horrific levels. They use the excuse that they're based on 'market' but it's pure greed.

Peppermill raised prices significantly during pandemic. Food is still great and it’s an institution. Definitely not cheap eats!
