I like Capital One. Good interest rates, interest on checking and physical branches if you need them.
I switched from Ally to SoFi and have really liked it. It's now giving me 2% APY!
Yeah Chase rates blow. I opened a separate Sofi account. APY currently at 2%.
Great breakdown Ben! 🔥
Why does nobody ever bring up One Finance?? It has a savings and auto save option with 3% APY and good online banking
Charles Schwab is my favorite the customer service is 2nd to none and they have a strong trading platform. The small amount you get from a checking interest rate is so minimum that I would not put any real focus on it.
Check out Yotta bank!
I’d love to be wealthy enough that I can be as nonchalant about losing $1K in a crypto coin as Ben is😂
SoFi Checking and Savings are both 2% APY, no minimum balance fees, no overdraft fees, with direct deposit you get paid up 2 days early. Also you earn 3% cash back on SoFi Credit Card if you have direct deposit. This is by far one of the best bank accounts out there.
Chaaaance 👌
Are there any fees associated with the SAVE account? Seems like an ideal account for an emergency fund, but I wasn’t sure if there were capital gains taxes on any interest you earn
SAVE literally sounds like a Ponzi scheme.
What's the difference between money market account and savings/checking?
Gemini Earn is run by Genesis. Genesis lost $2.5 BILLION in the 3AC collapse. It is just a matter of time before Genesis shuts down and everything you have in Gemini Earn disappears like all my money in Celsius.
T-Mobile Money 3% and SoFi 2%.
Just FYI, Ally's rate is going up to 1.75% tomorrow (8/17/22).
I remember you talking about Time Wonderland several months ago and I was wondering if you would ever make an update video on that?
APY! APY! APY!
Ally been increasing like every 2 weeks lately. Just sent update 1.75% starting 8/17.
I've gone for I-Bonds and Goldman Sachs (savings and CD). Members of AARP also get an additional .10% on their Goldman Sachs savings. A regional bank, Saratoga National Bank, gives 2% on your checking account if you make two direct deposits (any amount) and use your debit card ten times a month (again, any amount).
Horrible idea to have more cash than stocks over the last month. With inflation still crazy and the S&P up over 10% in the last month, you're not doing yourself any favors
Capital one 360 savings gives 1.7%
I also use Gemini for savings. put over 20k in it once. the only thing is the redeem process could take up to a week or it could be instant. very unpredictable so don't store anything you might need immediately.
High yield checking accounts can be a decent place to store money in the short term, but unfortunately inflation is going to continue to wipe out any interest earned on those accounts. That’s why I try to invest as much as I can while the market drops to hopefully get returns higher than the rate of inflation once this is all said and done! Great video though Ben, these are some great options!
Amex has 1.5% right now. And every week I get an email that’s it’s going up. When I opened it a month or two ago. It was at .5%.
Have you seen the Harley Davidson credit cards…..gives you a chance at winning Harley every month
Discover Bank's online savings account offers 1.60% APY
Why isn't One finance at 3% mentioned? They recently changed from only being 10% of your DD to including 3% on your standard savings account at a max of $25k.
Varo is 5 percent
