I think this card would be more useful than the Amex BCP and it seems to be their closest competitor. So I predict that the annual fee and bonus will mirror the BCP, and I would apply for this card.

Do we know if Costco will code as a wholesale club on this card? At 3% at Wholesale Clubs, if it works at Costco, this is also better than the Costco Card from Citi.

it could have an annual fee and/or spend limits on 6% categories so depending on personal spend, it could be equal or worse than what you already have

6% of $1500 limit, each quarter? 4 quarters in a year. $90 x 4= $360. It would be better if it was unlimited. Paypal has a 3% card that I get a gang of cash back in just 1 month of use

$95 annual fee, still worth it?

Ben I agree, if this card has no $95 AF then it really is a game changer. But if it does, I don't see much value to it for me personally. I believe it would take $9500 to break even with a equivalent 5% card which isn't even possible with the 6k cap. We'll wait and see!

Just remember that unlike other issuers, you can only be approved for a US Bank card if you live in their branch footprint. There are no US Bank's where I live, but I do have a secondary address within US Bank's footprint, but to be approved for the card they literally wanted me to send them a copy of a mortgage statement or rental lease agreement to prove I actually live there. I'd never heard of anyone going to those links just for a credit card before….

Big loss for the banks that service the store credit cards at some of these places. Looking at you citi (Costco – 2%), Synchrony (Sam's Club – 1%) and Capital One (Walmart – 2% in store).

How about 6% back on daycare?

I'm guessing it'll be up to 6% if you have 100k in your boa savings account.

Would it surprise anyone if U.S. Bank later stated that anyone with 10 or more active credit cards would be instantly denied?

I might try to make this my first annual fee card if the fee’s 2 figures. Most grocery cards excluding Walmart and Target has hurt their attractiveness to me and many others, and this would fill exactly that hole

Too bad US Bank doesn't do business where I live so I can't get this or any of their other cards.

Hey Ben! If this new card does end up having an annual fee, will it be waived under the MLA and SCRA for military??

Lowe's gives you 5% on unlimited purchases. Is 6% only on the first 1500.00 really better? Only if you never spend much there.
