Hey credit warriors, welcome to the show, so we uploaded a video yesterday about the new stimulus bill passing the house and the senate, but now president Trump has refused to sign it, one of the reasons is he says the amount of money offered in the second stimulus check is too low, but in addition to that the 5000 page bill contains a lot of things that Trump and others are not satisfied with
So yeah, gender programs in Pakistan, I’m sorry if I offend anyone in Pakistan, I’m sure you were all really looking forward to these gender programs, but this is not the time to use US tax payer money for that. We need to help people struggling in our country first. Then there is aid to the Egyptian military, over a billion dollars! And even AOC is out there on twitter talking about how outrageous this bill is, it seems they didn’t even read it before voting on it.

This is why Congress needs time to actually read this package before voting on it.
Members of Congress have not read this bill. It’s over 5000 pages, arrived at 2pm today, and we are told to expect a vote on it in 2 hours.
This isn’t governance. It’s hostage-taking.

I don’t agree with AOC on much, but she really hit the nail on the head with this one. So that is the first issue, all the extra stuff hidden in the omnibus spending bill that has the COVID relief bill attached to it.
But then we have the size of the stimulus checks, here is what president Trump said about that.
So you can see he calls for $2000 checks, which is certainly closer to the number that would actually make a difference to people’s lives, someone commented on yesterday’s video saying $600 is three swipes for me.
And that is true. But you know what Pelosi agrees, here is what she says…

Now that is true, they probably exercised a strategy there, I may lean more republican than democrat, but when there is a sneaky strategy on either side I’ll let you know. They probably purposefully didn’t state a number, so the Democrats would go too low and they could call them out for being nasty. But the D’s took the bait, you would assume they would just match the $1200 people got last time, but they didn’t, they lowballed. So anyway, I think the amount will be amended to $2000, but as for the other stuff getting taken out, such as gender programs in Pakistan, or funding for the Kennedy center that isn’t even open. I don’t think that will get taken out, because the bill already has a veto proof majority, so congress can override Trump’s veto, and Trump knows this too.
That is probably why he just appointed a load of people to the board of the Kennedy center so they can control how the money is spent.
Anyway guys we will see what happens, I think it is still likely that you will get a check, hopefully for $2000. The optics right now would be too bad if the second stimulus check was really cancelled. And the bill is veto proof, so they can force it through, even with all that crazy stuff in it. Personally I would prefer to not have $2000 and keep all this crazy stuff out, but a lot of people are suffering so I hope you get what you need. Take out the foreign payments and give it to Americans and then open the economy up on a voluntary basis.
600 is kind of low. And international aid should be limited until problems are fixed here in the USA.
Trump is late, he would have won if he talked like this before.

Democrats don't care about their public image. They have the MSM to cover for them and they can always steal the election, like they did in 2020.
It does not surprise me that Trump wants $2000 for Americans. He is, after all, a Populist Republican, rather than an Establishment Republican like those in Congress. Establishment Republicans have more in common with Democrats than they do with Populists.

Lets be clear. Money to others countries is for a omnibus bill which is different from the covid bill. But in trump's video he mentioned those aids as if those were included in the covid bill, thus holding it hostage. I agree is not the time to give money to others countries but it's just wrong to entangle both Bills and make it appear as the covid bill (which we all need) is wrong.

It appears that we won't end up with $2000 at this point. We may not get anything at all. I wish that they could all agree on these much needed checks.

Wasteful spending is the dems MO. This bill needs to put America first, if all those other countries weren't getting money, we'd get 2000+ dollars in a stimulus package no problem.

Hes not doing this out of the kindness of his own heart, hes doing this to get back at mitch mcconnell for congradulating biden aa president elect. Trump KNOWS people will turn on him if he is responsible for blocking the higher $2000 amount and he will lose the GA run off election. It means they lose the senate. If trumps plan works, americans win and he also will talk about this alot getting people to vote for him for 2024.

Yeah I disliked this video for a few reasons.
1) trump has never said anything about 2000 untill he's now on his way out of office
2)this bill and the SPENDING BILL is rolled into one. And you're telling people as if they are one.
Sneaky strategy? Democrats passed the Heroes Act in May that had $1200 direct payments. Senate Republicans were the one pushing for lower amounts and no funding to states for budget shortfalls. The president was completely absent from negotiations and only decided to say something after the bill was passed. Maybe have some* idea of what you’re talking about before posting a video.

Trump maybe wanting to give more money to Americans which is good, but he's just having a go at Republicans because they're not leading his electoral "fraud" charge. This is the same guy who is still trying to get back in Power despite the fact the people and now the Electoral College have declared his loss. Money will still go abroad in the Omnibus, and the caravan will move on w/o Trump.

House republicans blocked the $2000 stimulus, just like they blocked the second stimulus bill. The stimulus is tied to omnibus which is why the foreign aid is in it: the egyptian&israeli aid are directly tied to the Camp David Accords, nothing about today's bill. Trump is the good cop & every other Republican is the bad cop as has always been the case
They literally have no regard for American citizens struggling in this emergency. They clearly made a bill to serve they're own interests first while purposely leaving crumbs to us tax payers. Pure EVIL
