I can get 5% off on uber/lyft already on USBANK Cash+ or I can buy gift cards with my discover on amazon 10% match. This was one of my favorite cards – will be putting it to the side 🙁
It was good for Restaurants, Bars, Gas for people who didn't care for Uber but had it as a nice bonus. Now it's garbage tier
Got this card in September and closed it in October. First time dealing with Barclays and definitely the last. Screw this card and them. Rudest csr I have ever spoke with. I’ll spend my money elsewhere. Anywhere else

you missed the $50 subscription credit benefit that is being removed
No Uber service where I live so the new change would be only good when we travel. The only reason I considered this card was the 4% on restaurants. Uber credits are nearly worthless based on where I live.

I have had this card for a year. Was great to use for online purchases and bills. Good cash back. I rarely use Uber. Now this card has become useless. I will stick with Amex and look else where. In the junk box it goes….

I’m pretty pissed about the changes! I just got this card last month, and was really liking it. Now I’ll probably only use this card on the rare occasion that I use uber. We don’t have Uber eats were I live, and I typically used Lyft for rideshares. This card is basically worthless now
Time to cancel this card
I cancelled the Uber car after customer service wouldn't remove a fee they charged me when they attempted the charge an old bank account I removed from the card.
Did you know, even with 5% cash back on Uber, LYFT IS STILL CHEAPER. This is the worst update on a card I’ve ever seen
This is great as I use UBER a lot here in Brasil and receive 5% for Uber prepaid of $50 ( $R 200 ).

I got this card 2 weeks before the change… so i am cashing out my points before feburary, and then keeping it in uber app until i get a better card… but not using it for much more… what a shame it WAS and awesome card. Now its garbage… if they at least kept regular cash back would be okay but with the uber cash only its worthless

4-6% would be mint for hotel/flight return. That would be a sweet free cab/dining credit for every time you travel.

Sebby, can you do a video on the fallout of Uber now switching all uber card users to the Barclays View? It’s not useful for me in any category, but the Uber card will soon be older than my average card, and it’s zero AF, so I’d like to keep it open. Hoping I can maybe product change it to something useful (ideally the Wyndham Earner+) but it sounds like that’s probably not possible.
