Vegas Closed Casino Tour – Getting Kicked Out of Mirage & What It Looks Like Today! – Miles to Memories Vegas

by YouTube Team

Mirage Las Vegas is one of the original Vegas Strip megaresorts, but it has remained closed since March. Thankfully this MGM Resorts owned icon of the #Vegas #Strip is reopening on August 27, 2020, but what does it look like now that it has been shuttered since March?

I recently took a trip down to the Strip to walk around the closed #Mirage Las Vegas property or as much as I was able to see before security asked me to leave! The plants are looking overgrown and its definitely a sight you want to see! You’ll also get to see the Strip frontage of Mirage in all of its closed form plus we’ll talk about its link to Treasure Island, the parking garage on the Strip you’ve probably never noticed and how the Mirage now sits on land once occupied by a Caesars Palace race track. Have you ever stayed at Mirage? Are you happy about it reopening? Let me know your thoughts in the comments.

Were you wearing a mask? Your voice sounds muffled. Why wear a mask when literally nobody else was around? And Roy Horn died from COMPLICATIONS of COVID-19, not the virus itself.

I also love The Mirage. The tropical environment inside is terrific. Don't forget the movie "Vegas Vacation" (1997) was filmed partially at the resort and included some of the funniest scenes. I have not been back to Vegas for over a decade, but if I do return, I will probably choose the Mirage.

Love the Mirage; stayed there many times! So enjoy the beauty and the grounds and dolphin area. Can’t wait to visit again.

Still looks great, for being closed all that time. I never saw many of those landmarks, even when it was open!

The prettiest property on the strip because of the landscaping. The mirage as well. Best toured on a perfect weather day when it’s not too hot.

I really like the Mirage because of the theming and the fact it is a manageable size to get around inside. Stayed there for a few days in 2010 and the Staff were absolutely wonderful, customer service at it's best. Strange to think it was classed as a mega resort back in 1989, although it has a lot of rooms the actual gaming area and pools are pretty small!

Hoping to stay at Mirage again at the end of September. Hoping the LOVE show will be happening then as well. One of my favorite resorts on the Strip.

Been to Vegas 7 times, all at the Mirage. I should probably stay somewhere else, but the Mirage seems like home to me. Mirage has that awesome scent to it when you enter. Great video by the way.

i remember when the mirage was being built then treasure island then mgm. Did u know where mgm is was a failed condo building they just gutted it incorporated into new building man vegas was happening then i lived there three years probably best part of my life. Friday Saturday night at Rivera i use to go there every weekend local musicians would play there and sometimes big time entertainers. Westward ho man they had the best hot dogs in town it was like a lb dog and a beer 5 bucks good eating those days. I remember 14.99 prime rib all u can eat at dunes this 1992 u would not go hungry back then Vegas a roaring lion back then first class town. I hope Las Vegas come back from Texas with love may Vegas come back stronger and the people make a dollar. I hate seeing a former friend down to hell with this covid bs America needs to get back to work go to work America virus come and go that just life folks.

The Mirage is my all time favourite we’ve stayed there 5 times now visiting from the UK, the last being New Year’s Eve 2019 – I love the friendliness of the staff – many of whom have been there for years – We are treated like old friends and that extra touch makes all the difference 😘

Why has MGM decided to keep the Mirage and Park MGM as the last 2 of their resorts to open? We know the Park MGM has been a total flop. Has the Mirage not been doing well either?

Mirage redefined Las Vegas. It marked a milestone for Wall Street investment in integrated resorts – everything changed after that. Always loved the lush landscaping. 😀

They had all the time to upkeep it and they didn't do anything. Landscapes didn't do anything before the virus so why start now. Probably the room were not remodeled or anything. Last year I stayed there and the room was like the landscaping. The room wasn't very clean and run down.

Please stop saying Roy was 'attacked'. Roy had a stroke and passed out. The lion picked him up by the neck to move him to a quieter place, like they do with their cubs.
