Welcome to MtM #Vegas – Our weekly look at the cool #news and happenings in Sin City.
Las Vegas is famous for its pedestrian bridges but at one point they were supposed to be tunnels. We’ll discuss it plus how Strat’s lights are back on and how to potentially get a status match at Circa.
Speaking of Circa, it’s sister property had a tragedy with Manneken Pis getting toppled. Who did it? Plus we talk how Vegas handled four major sports events, who is blocking the Tropicana Ave redevelopment and which sports book just installed the biggest 4K screen in gaming.

They should’ve built the monorail down the middle of Las Vegas boulevard when they had the palm trees down the middle.
I thought the tax on table games was if you won anything over whatever the table max play was. For example if the max you could bet on a table was $10,000 and you won $10,001 then you would be taxed on that $10,001. At least that’s what I was told in Indiana, not sure if it’s the same in Nevada.
They need to sink the downtown roadways down about 3ft :
1- create a barrier with vehicles to buildings and pedestrians
2 – build above street (nyc highline or Fremont street) allow for pedestrian / walking / bike paths on key areas of major downtown intersections – joining them along the stripe to allow street vendors food carts – native plants with sitting shaded areas with informational/ history of how Vegas changed.
This would allow resorts to have additional space along the stripe.
Traffic in Vegas is always terrible. You have the cone nazis putting up traffic cones and you never see them doing work.
Tunnels would just cause problems with robbers pickpocketers sexual predators crime out in the open it's easy to observe and see so I disagree with tunnels and agree wholeheartedly with the bridges
I was hoping to be in Vegas next month for the NAB Conference but it's cancelled, so I won't be back in Vegas until next April. I was really looking forward to checking out Resorts World, glad they're opening more "affordable" restaurants, I've heard so people complaints about their overpriced food court.
I disagree I think I would have taken away from the strip and would encourage more homeless panhandle.
On the live betting question. Yes they do accept live bets in several of the apps. They are very new to it an making tons of mistakes (I assume some sort of algorithm is creating some of the prop bets during the game) I got an over/under in the bottom of the 8th inning at 14 when the score of the game was 4 to 1…Bet every single penny in my account. good day!
I actually just used my mlife status to get legend status – host came up to me and hooked it up.
However I did confuse the golden gate for golden nugget and was confused by the dancers at the table games –
Mark. You can be my wing man anytime. 😱😱😱. Lmao. GOOSE. LMAO.
Hope you guys are well. Stay safe. 👍👍
Thank you to our hosts Shawn and Mark. Learned a lot. I’ll have to swing by Westgate and check it out.
🤣🤣🤣😘😘😘❤️❤️❤️
Wait for the strat when all the construction is over. That always ruins things. Kinda messy looking down there.
If that statue had fell and hurt one of those people that would’ve been a big lawsuit it’s ironic
1200$ in 1977 would be about 5400$ today
Nice show guys 👍🏾
in other news my Cowboys are 2-1 😃
The Wild Wild West. I remember when it was called The Kings 8. 24 hour breakfast. I worked at a film studio on West Hacienda at the time, great place to go after working late.
Great show guys ! Disappointed I missed your meet and greet . I will be in Vegas starting Sunday and can’t wait 😎😎😎
Love your guys show!
Glad it's not tunnels. The Bellagio needs to do better with the sketchy people hanging out on the bridges outside of it's doors.
To be clear – all gambling winnings are taxable – the $1,200 is the limit the IRS imposes as a reporting requirement. Gambling losses can be used to offset gambling winnings, but you better document that. Sorry to be that commenter
The most amusing part of that mannequin coming down was how quickly the idiots who brought it down scattered. “Reinforce his thing?” 😂 You might want to rephrase that…
The Strastosphere can make all the improvements in the world, but until the surrounding neighborhood is cleaned up, I have no interest in visiting. There are so many other available options. Those lights outside are very pretty, admittedly.
Room rates will be affected by Raiders home games and by weekend NFL bettors overall, but my guess is it will be mostly at hotels closest to the stadium. With convention and international travel still suffering, there are still plenty of hotel rooms to fill.
You now have to pay 48 dollars to get to the bar at the top of the strat. That’s a lot for the privilege to buy expensive drinks LOLOL.
I like the new screen at the Westgate, it’s not like being in the first row of a movie theater like circa
I've heard there's an underground rail system. That goes from the Bellagio to an underground housing area a pretty good distance away in the desert.
Nothing would surprise me.
Look at China Lake in Ridgecrest, they've had underground facilities & been out there since the 40's or 50's.
I am trying to community police fremont
Hollar at main street station
Devo downtown was great
Man, I got clickbaited. I thought the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign got ran over! 🤣
who ever is in charge of construction at circa props must hate liquid nail and yes there is live betting
only time u get tax forms on table games is if you hit one of thoese huge progressive bonuses other wise you can play 5k a hand and never see a form but if you cash out over the amount you get a form at the cage thats why people often structure they cashouts to avoid the forms
The Strat and Skyjump and the rides..my main reason for coming to Vegas 🇬🇧
Wild Wild West still have 25c roulette?
I'm a truck driver so that Wild West truck stop casino is my local place in between when I'm heading over to the strip etc. What is the project supposed to be casino redevelopment or like infrastructure and exit being redeveloped I just care because I walk across the strip from that area and I park around there any information would be appreciated
What are the details on the $150 Wynn Birthday Dining Credit. I got my email from Wynn about it, but trying to figure out if I have to book a room at Wynn to get the $150 dining credit…
Thanks guys!
Little used tunnel to cross the street in my area had a smell of urine the one time I used it. First thing I thought about when you mentioned a Bellagio pedestrian tunnel.
💜☮
Yea I've noticed almost every weekend hotels are spiked..more so than just being a weekend high price …
Oh gawd slots fun. That cräp table was literally on the sidewalk. Best table on the strip.
There is live betting as the game goes. The line moves accordingly as the game progress. It does turn off with a few mins left in the game
I was there that weekend. NASCAR, raiders, UFC, knights. Great weekend.
another Awesome Video!
Enjoy listening to you 2
I've won there plenty of time because of the glitches…
