Episode Description
One of the many new projects announced and under construction for Las #Vegas has officially been put on hold. Owners of the Dream Hotel on the South #Strip have paused construction as they struggle to find financing for the $500M+ project. Contractors are owed up to $30 million, meaning this project could be done for good.
In other #news we learned of the strange expansion plans for Vegas Loop which include a GIANT omission. What are they thinking? We also discuss MGM’s new freeplay tech, the official approval of Hard Rock’s guitar tower, the new Punk Rock Museum and a zipline rescue on Fremont Street.

Renamed the Poopy Pyramid
I don't know if you had to be a local to sign the petition about the volcano, but if anyone could sign, I sure wish someone would have made it known. I hate to see it go away for sentimental reasons. I got married there, that volcano meant a lot to me and my husband. I think he must be rolling in his grave over this.
I’m a little leery of the free play just being automatically added. I fly in Tuesday and have $x,xxx in free play, $xxx in midweek free play and $xxx for birthday month free play and $xxx in resort credit at Aria. If it works, it’ll be dope! I usually stay at Delano and the lines are awful at Mandalay and their vip line is on the side of the cage and since it’s not within eyeshot, you have to ring the bell and wait for someone to be free to some over.
More mad about all the greenery that the volcano in around the Mirage will lose. It helps keep the temperature nice and cool near Mirage. Now I feel it’s gonna be extra hot (temp)
Lol, the Luxor Manager of Housekeeping receive public flogging and humiliation. 😂 Why do paying customers put up with this stuff!? I don’t buy the “new lower bar” of quality standards. Quality should go up, prices should go down !! This is LVN, USA … not some 3rd world Hostel .. damn it! 😊
Get that volcano out of here, I want the guitar. Wish they had an airport tram or something but uber isn't so bad price and wait time
Flying cars are more likely to happen before the high-speed train happens.😂😂😂
The loop was a gimmick and really only a feasibility study it was never going to be about any kind or real transit. They could in theory expand what was started and turn it into the hyper loop instead.
Looks like Hard Rock is doing away with not only the volcano, but the driveway as well. Pushing everything to the sidewalk out front.
Cool you used my video 👍 it was funny to see that zipline rescue as soon as I stepped outside on my recent trip.
Looking at the Vegas Loop map, it still connects the airport, it just not underground. The tunnels connect to the existing roads around the airport.
600 rooms 660 feet tall
I said they need to stop greenlighting to bootleg companies and someone chimed in that Dream is a Hyatt company, but Hyatt only entered the picture in November and has a hold on $1.75 billion until projects are completed AND opened!
It's really lame if the Loop doesn't go to the airport, smells of greased palms AGAIN!
I'm surprised you guys haven't mentioned the Cosmopolitan tram expansion walkway to the Bellagio/Vdara platform!?!
Bring a small blacklight/UV light with you to any hotel or airbnb you stay at. You’ll be horrified. Just because you can’t see the puke/piss/excrement/ejaculate/blood with the naked eye doesn’t mean it isn’t there. Regarding too many stops/stations close together (like a block or two apart)….consider a 110 degree day and someone either old enough not to be able to walk that far or someone younger with even a slight medical issue not being able to walk that far. I’m sure that a taxi driver would absolutely love to take you a just a couple of ‘Las Vegas blocks’ away after sitting in the taxi queue for a half hour and having to sit in another for a half hour after driving you that short distance.
The Dream is now a nightmare
The big problem with those tunnels are the exhaust fans. They are so noisy.
I heard the Deam Hotel was being renamed to the Lucky Dragon 2.😮
I wish the Hard Rock guitar was topped with a stairway to heaven.
theuy all bite off more than they can chew ty for the update
Uconn is not having a good time in vegas. Was reported today that some players had some things stolen off the bus. Cant catch a break. Vomit and thievery.
Yeah I’ve stayed at Luxor multiple times and I’ve never had a room issue. It’s not the newest/fanciest place but there are much worse queue the Travelodge(s) minus one now. The tower rooms there are definitely nicer than the pyramid rooms but some of those were remodeled with the old Bellagio furnishings
I hate to be cynical, but I don't see that the city of Vegas has any incentive currently to spend million$, if not billion$, to extend public transportation to the airport. Tourists are flocking here in record numbers, and must be spending billion$ taking taxis, Uber/Lyft and limo's to and from the airport. That's a LOT of money being pumped INTO the local economy, not to mention jobs for 1000's of residents. Extending public transport to the airport would solely be for the benefit/convenience of tourists, and right now it doesn't seem to be keeping anyone away, so…
They are charging resort fees, yet they don't clean the rooms on a daily basis. They went from cleaning like crazy during Covid to just not giving a damn!
Every time I have stayed or went through Luxor it has been clean. The rooms were always fine. Someone dropped the ball on cleaning those rooms. Dream was a dream. It will eventually be finished. If the loop actually went close to the hotels I would consider taking it.
Would LOVE to see the loop connect to the airport.
I always stay at The Park MGM and one time during my stay I had the norovirus. Needless to say I spent the night sick to my stomach. I will say the toilet in my room was super clean as I had the unfortunate opportunity to get up close and personal with the toilet in my hotel room…..ha ha This is a true story!
Go to Alligent!
Sean needs to raise his head in the shot to match Mark's. Sometimes it looks like he's sitting on the floor. Love the channel.
Dream hotel is done. I had no problem when I stayed at Luxor. Sucks for ucon
The monorail was originally supposed to run to the airport when it was built. The taxi drivers union got that shut down is what I've always heard. This sounds very familiar with the loop not running there as well.
This is a continuation of my comment on your last episode where I said that Resorts World is lying about their occupancy rates. How do they have that many rooms available to house and entire basketball team during one of the busiest weeks in Vegas ever? It doesn’t make sense. Hilton investors beware!
You think it's a good idea in one fell swoop to cost thousands of taxi drivers and Uber drivers and Lyft drivers a huge portion of their income just to make convenience for the airports?… Think of the millions of dollars that get circulated and the economy by people who work taking people back and forth shuttles everything taxis Uber is you name it you just want to get rid of that?… Of course they're not going to do that
I hope they do something with the statues of Siegfried & Roy and any of the lions.
I have not stayed at Luxor and don't plan to anytime soon, but I just got back from 5 days at Aria and I must say my room was immaculate. I saw some of the housekeepers cleaning rooms and they were extremely thorough. I think the pandemic days of sloppy housekeeping are past us now, at least at the high end properties in Vegas.
Anyone suffering from claustrophobia would possibly freak out going through any one of those tunnels for so long! I would. With no visibility of sky. No way would I take that in a car. If it’s a short distance then maybe.
The Dream hotel looks like a horrible location. So near the airport! How about having to head all that noise of airplanes landing and taking off all day/night! Crazy.
At this point the only way the monorail gets extended to say Fremont Street or Reid Airport or Mandalay Bay is if the big casino giants get together and buy it as a joint venture. LVCVA is too focused on other things. And the volcano doesn't generate revenue. The guitar hotel will. Plus it will likely have a light show like its Florida counterpart.
Great video guys! Keep up the great work!
If they build a big YouTube museum…….
…….will the sexy outfits of the MTM boys be framed and mounted on a wall???
hey Mark I bet on the Izzo's! Alas…… we went down. – ed in Reno
I was really excited about the Dream hotel, i was impressed at how they weren't wasting any time. They were working on that site. I hope they finish it. What is happening with the Majestic hotel? If the Loop isn't going to have an airport stop then they need to hang it up now, that should've been the first stop. The Hard Rocks memerabila was one of the reasons i loved staying there, it was like a museum right in your hotel. Another great update. We stayed at Luxor for the first time in November, in the newer tower and loved the room, but this is just disgusting. What a way to welcome The Sweet 16 to Vegas, Luxor should be ashamed. That HRH guitar looks like it's going to give the MSG sphere a run for their money.
That guitar tower is fugly af.
Top quality as usual what has happened to my vegas all the buffets have gone how long before it goes bust
The renovated rooms in Luxor’s pyramid are nice, except for the showers not having doors on them. Water gets thrown out onto the bathroom floor. Also, no deadbolt
