I noticed non smoking areas. Is that true for most casinos?

Las Vegas will recover the day after Trump wins re-election. All blue state governors will end the shut down. It was a political move to suppress the economy.

42% seems awfully good for a Pandemic. What did they expect? Those numbers look pretty incredible to me, especially considering these casinos DO NOT have authentic 3/2 blackjack under $25/hand. Which is totally pathetic. Please don't play blackjack in this town unless you are at Stations Casinos, The Cannery, or Ellis Island. Downtown and the Strip is all fake 6 to 5 blackjack, or worse.

Interesting statistics, I honestly thought some of those numbers would be better for room occupancy given the (admittedly anecdotal) reports of Vegas being 'Packed' on the weekends. Maybe there are more locals on the strip than usual? Maybe some of the people driving in are just day trippers? (although that seems far fetched).

The gaming revenue numbers are probably holding up due to there being not much else to do, particularly in the evenings. Room Revenue is probably so bad because a lot of people are staying on comps (I am getting inundated with offers, even though I am in the Uk and can't use any of them) or taking advantage of some really cheap deals.

I really hope things improve for the city soon but I can see things getting potentially worse before they get better as the fall approaches, especially for those businesses that were relying on having sold out games at Allegiant stadium.

I am from Canada so we cannot really come to Las Vegas. We come for the shows and the buffets along with the gambling and until the shows are back and it is safe to fly we will unfortunately have to wait. We were supposed to come to Vegas in April. We had tickets to Reba, Shin Lim and Mystere which of course were all cancelled. Also I can gamble here so to come to Vegas just to gamble does not make sense. If we could get to Vegas we would be self isolating for 14 days when we would come home which is not in the cards. Great video, as I was in the hotel business for for over 30 years, I understand all of the numbers that you presented.

This is what happens when the dumbass Governor closes down everyone's business, large and small. Of course, that doesn't STOP HIM from going out without a mask inside, enjoying live music and having cocktails.

Good video – this is the first one I've watched and I just subscribed.
ADR is important for marketing and know where you have to sell rooms to be competitive with other hotels.
RevPar is the important number. Revenue per available room is what you use to prepare budgets and to know if you will be profitable or not.

Hi Shawn.
Great video again. Thanks for posting it, comments, opinions, scenes, landscapes etc. I love the new Convention Center sweeping roofline.
The Midlife Ride Louisville couple had some valid points about NOT visiting right now for various reasons. The restaurant wait times is a real deterrent for me as well. And shoot, I might as well be honest, I really want to visit Asian Resorts World so maybe I'll wait a year before returning.
Keep up the good work Shawn.
Latterz,
Steve

The entertainment industry really needs to open and bars , bands music, WE are loosening tourist by the millions. If we don't get the bars open and entertainment back of all kinds, what's going to happen to our beautiful valley now this is very sad picture of of LAS Vegas. And I love LAS Vegas

Hi Shawn! Thank you so very much for this update. Basically, we all need to remember that we are in a PANDEMIC! The fact is that until there is an effective vaccine, and it has been administered globally, and folks around the world begin to physically recover their health, there will be no normalcy in travel to Vegas or anywhere else. That is a fact. Now, having said that, during this Covid – 19 Global Pandemic, if local citizens in the United States take the guideline precautions, driving to Vegas will maintain if not show some growth, and there may be small steady local flights to Vegas which will have weekend impacts on the economy for Nevada. However, that global customer who has millions in the bank, and is a High Roller that the Big Casino Resorts put up in their VIP Suites for FREE because they know he/she is going to drop some serious dollars in their casinos; and the BIG corporations who plan their regular conferences and conventions in Vegas; those dollars are on HOLD until we get an effective vaccine and travel is once again safe. So for now, we appreciate what we have, and are thankful. The glass is not half empty, it is half full. CAB 😊

Just hope they come back. But they’re gonna have to lower those prices. Things like resort fees and food prices are outta control. ? This is crazy. May 2019 last visit for me 🤔😷😷
