Finally experienced a Centurion Lounge for the first time yesterday at SEA! Even through there was no full food service (now grab-n-go), spending time there instead of the terminal seating was GREAT.
Credit cards getting shut down is something that scares me.
Biggest single point earning transaction aside from ones that hit a SUB would be paying my rent on my freedom flex with PPK, so I maxed the category spend pretty easily

I used paypal key with my discover card when they had 5% on paypal to only pay 1% fee on plastiq. Was great that one time while it lasted lol
So just to be clear, if someone uses their amex with paypal key to pay on plastiq something that amex does allow (like rent) it should not trigger RAT? I'm asking because I think if you use paypal key and it codes as a debit card then plastiq takes a smaller fee

Amex is garbage … they slashed my credit limit by 80% when I had zero balance, I managed to pay off even during this pandemic with half of my normal income and other bills to pay as well. The excuse .. I had too many requests for credit line increase (credit checks). A total bullshit, never again. Amex you piece of garbage

AMEX does not us to use their card for automobile payments. I assume that only applies to car loan payments. Does AMEX prohibit the use of their cards for an automobile purchase? For example, if paying cash for a car, does AMEX allow us to charge the entire purchase price on an AMEX Platinum card, or an other AMEX card with no purchase limits?
Manufactured spend doesn't have to be an all-or-nothing pursuit with one extreme being using PPK to Pay Amex with three for all as you described.
You can do some level of MS without being shutdown. For instance, many clear $25k spaced out over time on Chase Ink Cash with Staples gift cards for 5x points. Why not do this if you have the ability and time?

Here in the UK I've used Billhop to help me meet certain promotional point quotas to pay the private rent on my house. I had a promotion for my Amex Gold Card where if I spent £2000 between December 1st and 31st I would get an additional 1000 points. by December 26th I was still £742 short so put my £1265 rent through Billhop (would usually be done via standing order from my bank account). The service charge was fairly steep, about £40. But worth it for the 1000 points.
I looked up Plastiq. They charge 2.85% for transactions….if you used it to pay rent you would only get 1% back…so it would cost 1.85% to do that. How would you use that to a benefit?
Kind of stupid of them not to support payment on mortgages.
