The Chase trifecta gets a lot of attention, but the Wells Fargo Trifecta could be a great alternative for the person who redeems points for flights. Not only is this a simple credit card rotation, but these cards all have no annual fee.

Thanks for the great info! I have the Visa signature card and have reduced my mortgage quite a bit via Total Rewards prior to getting into the points game for travel. Despite all the issues with ethics and fraud, I personally haven't had a problem with WF on the business side.

I have to admit that this trifecta is a slow process but don’t forget about WF business CC which are pretty easy to get. I have a QUADFECTA and have come to the conclusion that WF is bending over backwards to improve their tarnished image. With their sign up bonus and no annual fees plus generous multipliers on Amex and Visa they make a strong case for themselves as a worthy competitor to Chase, Citi , US Bank and Amex. The big boys offer more benefits

but WF might have found a niche for themselves

Thanks for the heads up, Illl look into this , My sis likes to fly coach , yeh, even if someone offered biz class for $1 more, she'd prefers to head to the $1 shop and buy something else with that dolla , and still fly coach 🙂 . WF Trifeta sounds perfect for her.

i only have one question for you …how many card you get every year ?? you know that adding cards to your wallet hurts your fico right ?? …my point is why do i've to get 2 cards at once ?? why not they make one brilliant card and that's it ??…just for your info the Wells Fargo visa signature has no Foreign Transaction fee but their Amex does.

i've an idea for you ..why not you make a video of top 5 cards for Americans who life outside US ……my top 3 is AMEX Platinuem , CSR and Chase Amazon Prime card ….what do you think ?? do you have any add on or better options ??

FYI WF also has a nice bonus for their checking accounts. But the best feature is the ability to customize your debit card. You can select from a huge list of pictures or submit a personalized one. This perk was the one that won me over. I hate tobacco companies but I own shares in several tobacco companies from my index funds. All index funds have companies that we may disagree with but unless you want to buy stocks individually index funds are your best bet.

Everyone should just churn Wells Fargo. I feel that still owe me money! Crooks be crooked.

Trust is the foundation of business and investments. Unfortunately that is commodity that Wells Fargo doesn't have.

I have cash wise for that little 1.8% bonus. Not a complete substitute for AR. As long as Proprel remains no AF, I’ll add that later on, plus for the wife. GoFar no expiration but doesn’t the rewards on visa signature have 5 years? Or was it after the last activity? My question would be for paying my mortgage. I have cash wise 25 min redemption to my mortgage. Would propel work like that?

This is a very intriguing set up but reading some of the comments, sounds like Wells Fargo has some issues. I dont know. I had a vehicle loan through them without any problems but I think I still like Amex or Chase even with the annual fees.

Giving you a thumbs up for this video because I like you but I would never get a Wells Fargo card in my life they screwed me over with my first home loan and I’ll never do business with them ever again

The no annual fee aspect is the strongest argument. Too bad it’s Wells Fargo Bank.

It’s a great value. I would substitute the cash wise with either the sdfcu cash+, penfed power cash, or PayPal MasterCard because all three get a flat 2 percent cash back cards with no foreign transaction fees. This is because the propel is an Amex and has lower foreign acceptance rates and the other two cards in the trifecta have foreign transaction fees. I don’t think the 2.25 percent effective return on the cash wise is worth the extra .25 percent because of this.

Bank are banks. How about all the banks that threw the risk assessment out the window and gave everybody with a heartbeat a mortgage. Proof of income, no need!! Then when all the loans are in shambles they get trillions from the Government? Does it really matter? Wells Fargo are crooks in a room full of crooks. Get the cards that benefit you most even if they are Wells Fargo…

Good info. Who do they use to power their hotel bookings (expedia, booking.com)? Btw, you need to increase the lighting on your set (too dark).

I am impartial to Wells Fargo. As a teen they gave me my first bank accounts along with Visa Credit Card with a whopping $500 credit limit. Fortunately I was never a victim of fraud. A few years ago I applied for the Propel 365 amex card with $45 annual fee that is no longer offered. One interesting rule with Wells Fargo is absolutely no product change allowed. I tried to product change to a no annual fee card but was denied.

With the crappy changes to the Sapphire Reserve, this sounds like a better trifecta! And all of you talking crap about Wells Fargo can go suck it! They're a better bank now.

even if they paid us for 450 a year and gave a 20x multiplier on everything. I wouldn’t trust them with my social. Too bad it’s Wells Fargo.

Awesome video man, quick question, if my wife has the same checking account as I do and she applies to the cash wise credit card would we still get the bonus although we have the same account and I just got the propel a month ago for their bonus?

It’s interesting, but since watching your video on the us bank portal and their inflated prices, I’m cautious about travel portals now lol. If you have access to it you should do a video on it 😁

I have the Wells Fargo’s trifecta but with the Propel, Visa Signature, and Visa Rewards. To stack points.
My question is can I
A) Apply for a second propel card after 15months to receive the intro bonus again?
Or
B) If you can’t have 2 propel cards drop the propel. which allows the points to stay in rewards from the other 2 cards and reapply for the card to get the intro bonus again?
Hope you get back thanks!

I wouldn’t do business with wells fargo in a million years. They’re crooks and predators! I realize you are just reporting the details/landscape of what’s out there, and not making a judgment on their business practices. That said, I suggest people do a Google search for wells fargo’s predatory practices, and substantial fines paid for doing so.

Is it true that you can only pay for one Wells Fargo card every 6 months? If so, could I apply for one and my wife apply for the other?

You know, if they added 3X for groceries, they could control this market. Too bad it's Wells Fargo.
