What are the best credit cards to apply for in the year 2020? Considering the situation we may need benefits that are a little different to the normal travel focused cards. So I am placing more importance on bonuses for grocery and food delivery, welcome bonuses and other things. Cards covered are the Chase Freedom Unlimited, US Bank Altitude Go, Capital One Savor and Capital One Savor One, the Amex Blue Cash Preferred, the Verizon Visa Card, Amex Gold and Amex Platinum.

If everything goes "smoothly" with the election 😏, sounds like a nod to the silent majority right there, lol

I don’t have the money to take advantage of travel points and things like that. I stay within the limits of cash back credit cards and sign up for a new one whenever I want to get a toy. I recently signed up for the Chase Freedom Unlimited that offered $200 cash back so that paid for the NVMe I wanted and it also offers 5% on groceries in the first year so that’s a big plus. Yesterday I signed up for the BBVA Select credit card that offers $500 cash back after $4,000 spend in 3 months so that’ll pay for a new graphics card. It has an annual fee of $95 but it’s waived in the first year so I won’t be keeping it past that.

So you're telling us to throw the whole sign up bonus into American Airlines calls?

It would be good if you do a special show with the Neobanks such as Aspiration card

Amazon Prime Signature Rewards VISA card has been amazing during COVID!! No annual fee but you have to have amazon prime. If you already have amazon prime and shop regularly on Amazon it’s definitely a great card to get right now

It sure would be nice for chase to show some love to long term FU and freedom holders – I feel left out not getting that great grocery promotion

You didn't mention Verizon is REQUIRING you be a #Verizon wireless customer (only) to apply for card. No land lines, or Verizon FiOS (Cable) customers. Don't know why. Fairly high up in FAQ's.

I have the Gold, Platinum, BBP, BCP and now the Aspire… and on the Chase side, the CFU, CSP. I also have Apple and Amazon cards.

Since I don't have an inquiry in the last 6 months and I'm in the high 700's, should I get anything in the Citi ecosystem?

Premier and Prestige got so nerfed last year… and the Citi AA cards are crap after the bonus. But I DO think it would be nice to have access to Turkish Miles for US domestic redemptions … and that's a Citi partner.

Also have mail offers for the US Bank Altitude GO and Discover IT. My goal is generally points/miles but I also would like to have relationships with more than just Chase/Amex. Any thoughts??

I think I have just one load to blow because all of these potentials are from inquiry-sensitive banks.

I just got the gold with a high 75k sign up bonus. I would like the platinum Charles Schwab card, but after the sign up bonus it doesn’t make financial sense to me since I’m not traveling yet. Love the page!

I knew nothing about utube videos about credit cards 6 years ago. I started on Credit Karma an seen I owed nothing to nobody. I was a 👻. My monthly social security check goes to BOA so I walked in an applied for they’re secured card for 99.00 500 CL. 79.00 annual fee. They dropped the fee the second year. Graduated after 7 months n raised CL to 2,000. Waited 6 months an applied for the Discover it card got that 1,500 CL. BOA an Discover over the last 6 years have given regular CLI. They’re both up to 10,500 without ever asking. Next up Amex blue card got that with a measly 2,000 CL after 2 years. Next up was AU on my honeys shop your way card. Got all his credit history 15 years. Amazon prime card an Walmart cause I shop a lot online with both. US Bank measly 3,100 after 4 years. I’m done applying cause from what I’ve read going over 35,000 could cause a review. I’m low income an keep my utilization the same. Even low income people need credit cause you miss out on a lot without it.
