1:05 “you should always use the card of the hotel you are staying at”
I always did that until a June 2021 trip where I booked Hyatt Regency on American Express Bonvoy Brilliant to hit minimum spend. It felt dirty… haha
Do you use cards to pay your bills?
How many credit cards should we have?
Do you keep paying the high fees for the sapphire reserved?
I'd argue the citi double cash should ALWAYS stay in the wallet regardless of quarterly categories. I love knowing that, at a minimum, anywhere I go is at least 2% cheaper. Rotating categories from my flex/it cards are just a bonus perk
Your 9 point is more like 13.5 since you also have the reserve which will redeem points for 50% more.
I would really like to add the Chase Hyatt card next. Should I be patient and wait for a better sign-up bonus or should I just pull the trigger as there is no indication when a change would occur? Would appreciate opinions with a rationale.
Not using Discover for 5% dining??
Didn’t know u can double dip with CFF on groceries. I’m stuck in Gold4% and Freedom5% sometimes on groceries. Which is worth more on redemptions?
Which card do you use for non-category spend?
How you travel during school year? Or you are leaving kids home?
nice Karat card!
Lol
You get 4% on Dining on the US Bank Altitude Go (no annual fee).
Ben, you need to keep the Hilton honors surpass card in the wallet for the $10 per month food credit!
Yet another sexy video.. way to go credit stripper 💃 💪 😂
Is max reward available in Canada?
Is the Marriott Bonvoy card discontinued? Haven’t seen it on AMEX’s site for a while.
Hey I want to find a way to benefit from buying the monthly $127 Metrocard (NYC trains). What is a good credit card for it??
I just booked 7 nights at the Conrad Maldives and we’re flying Qatar Airways QSuites on the way there and back! $24k trip for 280k AA points for the flights (me and my wife) and 475k HH points and free weekend night certificate for the Maldives hotel. Only $192 out of pocket for the whole trip.
You're really going for 4% cash back on dining rather than 3 Chase UR points with the Freedom Flex or CSR??? Really bad advice. SMH 🤦🏻♂️
When you dropped the the card the sound had me dying 😂😂
Why don’t you use your chase sapphire reserve for 4.5% on dining pay your self back? Same for flex I think points transferred to reserve? And I think the citi custom (I think it’s what it’s called) has a dining category 5%….
I didn’t know the grocery benefit stacks on flex temp grocery benefit and quarterly! Thanks for this tip!
Hi Ben, do you discontinued the Freedom Files? It seems like there are some weirded, bot-like scripted content being uploaded on that channel. And old videos were removed as well. Not sure if it was hacked or not.
Chase all the way. The Freedom Flex which I picked up late December 2020 will bring in about $750 in cash back in my first 12 months and Freedom Unlimited about another $250. If the 100,000 point Sapphire Preferred is still around at the end of the year I plan to sign up for that, cancel the Flex, use the Sapphire Preferred for a year, get the 100,000, and then downgrade when the annual fee hits.
US Bank altitude go has a no AF 4% dining card. also has a $15 streaming credit so it has an effective annual fee of -$15 lol
So I have an original Chase Freedom, it was actually my first credit card when I turned 18 and I'm actually not the primary owner, although the card has my name on it and the points I earn can be moved to other UR earning cards that are entirely mine. I was under the impression that this would mean I'm not eligible for the SUB on the Flex. Am I wrong with this assumption?
@The Credit Shifu, How do we know whether do we have 9x on grocery or not for this quarter? I got my Freedom Flex in February.
One thing I'm confused about is why the Gold card just for dining? Wouldn't you get more back effectively by using the Reserve or the flex and transferring points to the reserve for the 3% x 1.5x multiplier?
I want to get the gold but I just can't justify it since I have the chase trifecta with reserve. Unless it's just to accumulate specifically Amex points.
Can we get a video on how much max rewards pays you to shout them out in every video? Honest question 😂
Slight diss to graham Stephan not giving him credit for getting you the Karot card.. any reason you didn’t make a podcast with him while out on the trip?
