In this video we go through what’s in my wallet for March 2022. I will be traveling to Las Vegas very soon so this is basically a travel setup for US domestic travel. I will take some of these cars out once I get back.

Those wallets look fantastic! Do you ever have any discounts or ones with defects?
What is your watch?
Wonderful choices! Love the video as always
Ben,
Awesome video been to Vegas a few times it's great. Definitely not for kids really at least not what I could tell. I am booking a trip almost a staycation to Palm springs later in the year. Wife and I are going there for our anniversary. I will be taking my Discover Miles to get the 3 miles per dollar on our spend. Probably take a few other cards just in case someone doesn't take discover. Just a weekend trip for us. You ever been to Palm springs? Appreciate the video. I can vouch for the Shifu wallets they are great and made pretty well. I have a blue one not a travel wallet though. They are to bulky IMO..
Great episode in your wallet. Do this to graham stephen and his secondary jack!!
You should do this with other youtubers who are travelers so u can coach them ….make it a new series!
Shen Yun was in Charlotte NC last month. Great performance. Enjoy your trip to Vegas.
Just a couple notes with the video:
1. You don't need the Amex Platinum to check into the Centurion Lounge. It's easier – and possibly better, to book via the Amex app. Easy check in and reserves a spot if by chance it's too busy. I do – however, carry my Platinum card in case there are any issues.
2. Don't need to pay your car rental using the Platinum card. Just need it when you sign-up with National, Hertz and Avis for the Premium Rental Status. By default, you get National Executive and then supply a screen shot of your National status to Hertz and get Presidents Circle. So, for my 3 rental car profiles, I have the Platinum as a card on profile but my default is the American Express Blue Business Plus card getting 2x points vs. 1x points. If you prefer, use Chase or another bank. The Platinum helps to get status but doesn't require you use the Platinum to pay the rental.
Another point … ensure your Platinum is associated on the big three if you book direct. Reason: you get other benefits such as no charge for late rental return (up to a period of time – I think it's 4 hours), complimentary upgrades, etc. However, if you book via a 3rd party site (ie: Priceline), you need to ensure you enter the Amex Corporate code to get the benefits.
I typically book with Hertz since the costs are less than National but get the benefits of choosing a car in the Presidents Circle. Similar to National, choose your car and drive out. No standing in line.
Last tip. Although I use the Amex Blue Business Plus to pay, but have status with the Platinum, I stack discounts with either AAA, USAA and / or AARP. Stacking works. And, since I book through Priceline using the Amex Corporate Code, I get Rakuten (Ebates) Membership reward points too while having rental status.
My last trip – two weeks ago, my Hertz rental for a SUV for 9 days – including tax, recovery feels (all in), was $169 not including the 5% cash back (actually 10% MR points) from Rakuten.
3. Re: Airline incidental fee credit. Yea, I get get my baggage covered too for free via American Airlines. So, can't use the Platinum fee credit for that. However, I will use it to buy an upgrade to business or first class if it makes sense which many of the times, it does.
Fidelity debit card also refunds ALL ATM fees WORLDWIDE unlimited. They also have no foreign trxn fees. Its also free. My friends still paying fees when they travel. Ridiculous
Ben. If you could only go with one bankās credit cards forever, would you go Chase or American Express?
How did you move the chip to a different card?
Just stayed at the Conrad in Vegas this past week and had a great time. Be sure to check out the giant video sphere in the mall area of Resorts World (The District). It was so cool; your kids will love it.
Using the Plat in Vegas is amazing and saved me so much money! Are you on the "carousel" and have Caesars Diamond Ben? The $100 dinner credit is pretty nice, especially if you still have the carryover from last year due to COVID!
Iām headed to Vegas this summer – booked this exact hotel – this video is a step by step for me! Thank you sir!
25x ihg is worth 1x chase points its better to use your chase sapphire card
Why not Hilton aspire?
Great sponsor! Shen Yun is really good! Thank you š š
We will be there March 11-14. We hope you will still be around.
How do you have multiple Freedom cards?
Wow Iām going to Vegas this month too
Ben, your Chinese pronunciations are on point!
