Hi sebby I was wondering should I get the chase freedom flex now or wait till it's closer to black Friday. I'm planning on buying a gaming chair and mainly want to use the flex for the intro offer. Will the offer get better towards holidays. Pretty new to credit cards I just got the amex blue cash preferred.

Barclays Wyndham Earner Plus(4x dining, 4x grocery, 6x gas(plus additional at marathon locations) FYI their promos are a lie and their customer service is the worst by far….been screwed out of 4,000 points even after validating the terms and conditions. Still a high warning card for budget hotel stays and Diamond status in the US, plus their boujee Vacasa properties. Some of their 30,000pt properties are excellent values.
Since I just have the Amex Delta Platinum the Sky Club access is $39.00 per person. I normally can't justify that expense especially with a short layover and with my wife traveling with me. Recently however we had to be at O'hare a few hours before our flight and I went ahead and spent the $78.00 for my wife and I. Still not a good value but 5 hours later because of a flight delay we were very happy we were in the lounge. The food was very good and while a bit crowded was a much better experience than sitting at the terminal. Value can be measured in different ways and in this case, we felt the money was well spent.
Very informative! I just booked a flight to Vegas from New Orleans with my Gold card. How do I take advantage of the lounge? Please note: I've only had my Gold card for less than a month and I'm still learning a great deal.

I currently have a Discover it and an amex platinum card. I've almost hit my 150k bonus points on my platinum. I'm thinking about getting the amex gold card for the restaurant and grocery perks. What do you think? Should I look at other cards?

i'm a delta diamond medallion and think the lounge product has become so diluted it shouldn't even be considered a benefit anymore. you're better off going to a nice restaurant. better quality of food, fewer people, and a lot better service.
Question: with the airport lounges, do they require you to dress a certain way? Or can I come as I normally dress (shorts and t shirt)
So this is our first time going into a Delta lounge we are sky mile members and also American Express platinum sky Miles card holders is there a charge for us to go into this lounge and if I want to bring my two adult children is there a charge for them as well?

New to AmEx Platinum – Travel for work. Just tried the Delta Sky Lounge for LAX, Houston, and Atlanta this past weekend. LAX was nothing to brag about, they have 2 lounges, I have yet to to try the one on your left coming up the stairs. Houston had a great layout in terms of architecture, structure and design of the place. They have this cool 360 bar thing in the center with seating around. The food their was alright, salad and pasta bar with some soup and small veggie wraps, again nothing to brag about. Atlanta was 3 flights of stairs up and had the best food from this past weekend IMO. The layout was basically a giant room with tons of seating everywhere. Love your vids Sebby! My lounge experience has been varied. In my first experience in a lounge I actually did meet a celebrity so that spoiled me for future lounge visits. I found that lounges were much easier to go to before we had children but since we now have children I don’t really have time to take advantage of these benefits. Also don’t want to be “that guy” whose children destroy a lounge. Once my kids are older and a little better behaved I may start going back to lounges again.
Now that Shake Shack is in SF, surely the value is there.
