You people complain about anything. How about learn how to love humans
Or a credit card that's entirely digital?
Signed up for aspiration bank and having problems transferring money into the account. Been waiting for them to reach back out to me almost 2 weeks now.
This is the main reason I got the Apple Card! I love how you apply for it on apple wallet and you have to request a physical card to get it. The card is metal and has none of your information on it besides your name. The rest of the card information is found on apple wallet. If you need a new number you request it but keep the same metal card!
I wished more banks did this!
Sebby you’re the man for doing this vid. Saving us money and saving the world. Also Blockfi Bitcoin card all metal no plastic and looks baller.
I think there should be an option to get an actual card now when people are mostly using their digital wallet/paying online for stuff. I understand people feel good to whip out their rose gold American Express or platinum card in restaurants but I think companies should not automatically send the actual credit card. I have 23 open credit cards and anytime one get expired I actually save the card.
Metal cards get jammed up in parking meters, gas pumps etc.
Okay Sebby……..consider this. True story of the unintended consequences of my metal Platinum card. I have TSA PreCheck. My travel attire has no metal on it. My Orvis nylon money belt has a nylon zipper and hard plastic buckle. My credit card case which is also nylon has my driver’s license, TSA card, plastic Wells Fargo Debit card (no foreign currency transaction fees btw), Aetna health insurance card and, up until October 1st, my plastic Platinum AMEX card. My passport is always in my front cargo shirt pocket zipped , buttoned and secured. These are my most important travel paraphernalia and they NEVER leave my possession. I blow through the TSA metal detector with no problem. I put nothing in their little trays. Last week I received my new metal platinum card and put it in my card case. Flew out the next day, went through TSA and BING BING BING. Took me aside and pat me down, put me in the X-ray machine and then saw that big slab of metal in my front pocket. After a several minute delay, a supervisor came over. There was a thorough examination of the card and even a discussion that the sharp, razor edge could be considered a weapon. I kid you not. I called AMEX and told them I want my plastic card back. They said they’ll get back to me. Please readers no comments telling me to put my wallet in the tray. TSA steals stuff and you don’t even know it. Google it.
wtf this guy is really worried about plastic waste from credit cards? smh dude it's literally nothing compared to other plastics
oh plz the whole environmental thing is absolute bullshit. all these companies care bout is money and that’s it. these “environmental” companies put on a show saying they care to gain more customers
Love it! I am at the ocean a lot for work, and it's sad and frustrating to see the trash that gets washed to shore all of the time. Thanks for spreading the awareness Sebby!
Chase sapphire is metal, but it’s metal sandwiched between plastic, kinda defeats the purpose of metal cards being better for the environment
The thumbnail is literally out of my wallet.
When I got my CSP last week, I felt happy because I got my first hybrid metal credit card on my hands. It was a cool joy experience to share, however there's that one friend who had the CSR for 5 years and she told me; metal cards are whatever nowadays, because back then metal card was exclusive. Afterward, other credit cards companies start to jump on the train and everyone got metal cards. She also said you have to sent back the metal credit card on the mail when the expiration date is over instead of shred. Lately, I start to see people pay on their phones whether you have Apple, Google, or Samsung pay.
stupid question but are there sharks there at bora bora lol
Are you able to do a video on top five or ten places to go for vacation on a budget without jeopardizing safety lol
Cutting down on plastics is good, but not because they wind up in the ocean. Very little trash from America, finds its way to the ocean. The trash we see in the ocean is mainly from Asian countries, especially China.
Metal cards have gastric siding as well
Do you know if we can still chane our Marriott card for the ritz Carlson ?
I'm surprised my new Citi Premier is not medal.
I have a couple metal cards..one time I used my Amex Platinum card yo make a purchase and the servicer commented wow this card is heavy.
Loved this video!
I kinda prefer NO cards. I carry around two plastic cards (amex/MC – for those nonAmex places) and my drivers license. But they're only for emergencies. Most places I go to use NFC.
I'm not cool enough to dine out at high end restaurants – they usually don't seat one person :'(
i don’t mean to be that guy buuuuut do you recommend any good credit cards tht give good rewards points for gas with no annual fees? Best one I could find so far is the city rewards+ card
I hope Amex does EVERY card metal. As a matter of fact I am going to give them a call about this. I would want my Amex platinum metal because … lets remove plastics.
dang I want that wooden card
I would be happier if they will reduce the size of the cards. We need to just retire whole stripe thing on the credit cards. We are going digital its time that we retire that age old technology. I understand it might be very "stable" since its very old but its time to move on.
First of all. Companies should offer "request only" for the actual card. I don't need an actual card. Let me add the card in my digital wallet the moment I get approved and that's it. Second, companies should offer smaller cooler chip only cards. That'll save some plastic. Third they all should go metal. Thick or thin but metal only.
#JustMyTwoCents.
Amex Platinum
Bora bora or Maldives ?
CSP
Apple Card
AMEX Gold
Physical credit cards are becoming obsolete, so this whole video is basically moot. More and more people just use tap and pay through their phones.
Is it just me or does anyone else hear a very weird droning static noise in the background?
Everyone needs metal cards. It shows you are elite and better than all the other normies. 👌👌💸💸
I am sorry to say this. I did not like this video. I felt that you are just doing advertisement and using the environment as a tool.
I will unsubscribe. Best of luck.
…Or we can ditch the physical card and move toward having a digital wallet. But I guess until retailers and other merchants make it easier to make electronic payment for POS (Point of Sales) items. We must explore more sustainable options.
I love the content, and this conversation is one we all need to have to reduce the environmental impact we are having on our planet.
Lakers in 4
Here’s a wild and crazy idea.
No card at all, have them in your smart phones wallet! 😄😄😄😄😄
Hey I want know your opinion on what would you recommend. I already have Amex platinum but now I’m trying to get another premium credit card for hotels.. which one would you suggest? Hilton aspire or Marriott brilliant or something else you can suggest. And I do travel internationally as well . Can you help?
I only have one but if I get one more I will become a METAL CARD NINJA !!!!! Also, if I die on a mission my Shogun can be assured that my kit is biodegradable
Why not burn it and capture the waste
Metal cards suck and heavy. I prefer digital cards stored and locked under fingerprints
I have the Amex Plat, Gold. Chase reserve and Apple card. I am currently happy with all. With that said, due to your informative video, this is the first I have heard of "Wood Cards". I will investigate this further when time permits.
Why have cards anymore…. No need for them with phones
out of the 6 billion or so cards issued every year, I reckon I've applied for about 90% those lol
I have 2 metal cards: CSR and Apple Card. One problem I came across was that a local business has a POS machine where the CSR just couldn’t fit into to take my payment. So I had to use a plastic card or cash to pay.
Is the chase sapphire preferred like the United Chase Explorer card where I get miles for United? I've always been confused if I only need one or if I need the two of them.
Credit Card Companies should just make credit card access on smartphones only with an QR code!
