We look at a case from Maryland where a woman spent her husband’s Amex points when they were supposed to be frozen and may face jail. Crazy thing is she redeemed for gift cards, not even cash back.

Love this story. Hilarious!
Good.
Lock her up ! PERIOD 💃 – You mess with the bull you get the horns Lady !!! LOL !😆
Let her collect trash 🗑 on the high way with a yellow vest on
Wait, not your wife? Whew!
Hide yo wife I mean, hide yo points!
That is more than 2.6 Million MR points (if redeemed at 1CPP, it was most likely more though) and here I am trying to figure out what to do with 100K
Should have went to prison for poor redemption alone…
So the moral of the story ended up being "don't redeed amex points for gift cards"
I mean, ok
Amex is probably happy that she did that. Those points are easily worth 2 to 3 times that if she transferred them out; Turning her 20k worth of stuff to 60k.
That bitconnect clip was NEEDED I actually laughed haha
I’m actually surprised that law enforcement / the FBI is competent enough to keep track of credit card reward points.
Of course, I suppose AMEX could’ve just put the account in monitoring status per their request, and just notified them when the transaction took place.
Make a video on the best ways to spend your Amex MR Points please. I have quite a few points available and want to use them in the most efficient ways possible.
Makes me wonder … if a court here deems the points to be an "asset" (and hence subject to the freeze) then could a future court use this as precedent when, say, someone dies and wants to leave points to an heir in his or her will?
She should have used the points for a first class one way ticket out of the country
I love how you're focused on the poor redemption choice and not the whole illegal ponzi frozen asset issue LOLOLOL!
So, a golddigger dug too much?
I just got my first secured card since I've never had credit history. How long should I wait to apply for an unsecured card? What would be best? Amex? Chase? etc…
How many points do you think he had then? Can you do a rough calculation?
redeeming points as gift card is even more critical
Ahahaha
