I just visited the Las Vegas Centurion Lounge recently, along with the Delta Skyclubs in Milwaukee, Minneapolis, and Salt Lake City, and I must admit that I had a much better, much more relaxing experience in the Delta Skyclubs, then the Centurion Lounge in Vegas. I received the code on the app that it was my turn to enter, then I was told I had to wait up to an additional 30 minutes to enter the Lounge, so I waited. So when I finally entered the Centurion Lounge, at the time I visited there crowd, but someone departing offered me the space they had been sitting in. Most commentary isn't a complaint, so moving forward I will if I have to choose between a Centurion Lounge and a Delta Skyclub at an airport, I think I'm going visit the Skyclubs moving forward.
Regarding the commercial buildings, it depends on what the overall lease states. Usually the HVAC system will be the responsibility of the tenant (main system) unless it is connected to another system (sub system) in which the air/heat is supplied by a main HVAC unit. However, in a situation like this, I would be surprised that the costs/rent didn't get flipped back to the construction company who did the buildout for the lounge as they are the ones which must obtain the permits (and the city must sign off on the design as well). Just my two cents.
Just got my Amex Platinum a few days ago!
When I used to work at a LAX, I remember when terminal 5 was delta. I remember when it would have the smell of jet exhaust in the building. Department Of Airports (DOA)…my bad lawa..they did nothing for decades. Delta finally moved put. The vent system was pointed toward the back of jets. When the jest would leave the terminal alley after push back the exhaust would be pointed toward the HVAC vents. I do what I can to avoid using LAX.
I need update on United Club lounge.
✈️ Any recommended sources/past videos for maximum point value redemption using Amex points on flights to Europe? Considering a trip back to Munich this late September for Oktoberfest. Plan is to return directly to Phoenix from Frankfurt via Condor, but we're we have a lot of flexibility on the way there. Preferred airports, LAX, PHX or JFK, ideal starting cities in Europe are Barcelona, Paris, London, Dublin, really anywhere not too East. ✈️

✈️ Happy Anniversary
You think we wouldn't notice the change in hairstyle after the Bonvoy devaluation segment? And then back again after the Centurion lounge segment? You and you mind games

On your suggestion we visited the Centurion lounge at LAX on a layover. It was crowded but comfortable.✈️
✈️
I was recently at the American Express centurion lounge in Kennedy airport. It was nice, but nothing spectacular. It was also very crowded
✈️🛩🛫 🛬
I just checked out the Capital One lounge
at DFW. Overall it was amazing! Great service, food and drinks. The only think I personally did not like was the restroom set up. They were very clean but I think a normal restroom set up with multiple stalls would be more convenient than 4-5 individual restrooms.
Do you still hold multiple platinums or have you cancelled and stayed with a specific one? ✈️
I was disappointed by the bag lunch offering at LAX mid April. I was really hoping it would be open by the time I got to LA. 🛬
Sebby, I have the Chase issued Bonvoy Boundless with the $95 yearly fee. would you suggest upgrading to the AmEx Bonvoy Brilliant for $450 a year? I just watched your video and am interested now that the card offers 100k bonus along with the $300 yearly credit and free night.
If it's anything like how business is done at SJC, then the lease agreement between AMEX and LAX for that space might really depend on what caused the HVAC system issue, or if the lease agreement holds AMEX accountable or not. If AMEX doesn't want to open the lounge up, they may forego the repairs (if they are liable). If LAX's HVAC team is responsible for the repairs, it may also be the disgustingly long wait time for a replacement HVAC unit to be ordered and delivered, and LAX thinking its not the highest priority versus other airport mx issues. In SJC, HVAC issues are 100% taken care by the airport, but the lease agreement is different for every airport…
